BTS isn't the first person/group of people I've heard say "love yourself"...but for some reason, they're the one's who made it click for me. Jin's Epiphany was a literal epiphany for me. So I totally understand "It's okay to be you" hitting you like that. There's just such love and sincerity when they say it. Idk...it really gets through to me.

That's because not only their lyrics but somehow their music also communicates the same meaning they are saying in the lyrics. In most songs you won't know the meaning of the song unless you read the lyrics or see the music video but in BTS's case you can guess the meaning and feel it to a great extent even by just listening to their music. At least for me, it is. It is said that music can create certain feelings and different frequencies represent different feelings... BTS just know how to translate the lyrics into music or vice versa. That's why it hits you with double effect. I think they are musical geniuses. Especially, the members who are very much into producing like Suga... and they feed off each other's passion too, learning along the way. They remind me of the era when some of the great musicians used to make pure instrumental songs and the piece was generally named after the feeling or meaning it conveys. I think BTS really works hard on that aspect. They write a song in words and instrumentals and they always are in harmony somehow.

Totally agree! They're the ones I believe and want to follow this path with them by my side. I've heard that song before but when I watched MV and saw the moment when Jimin said "It's OK to be you" I started crying. Don't know why, sometimes it just happens with them :)

This made me cry... Bts and their songs are something else. I'm naturally quiet and I was always told to be louder and I tried really hard. I was so sad when everyone would complain about it but one day I realized I just don't want to change myself and how I am just because someone told me to. And I genuinely feel more better and happier with myself. It's okay to be you... (There's also a song called paradise and it's similar to this even tho it's more about life. It is so true with BTS, what a wonderful message they are spreading all the time but in this song the message is so direct. Sometimes the lyrics hint at things or they can be interpreted to suit different situations, have deeper hidden meanings that you have to really search for. Stay safe and well.

I am Korean born in Japan. BTS' original Japanese songs always have very deep lyrics. Thank you always for taking it up. By the way, Hobi is the best at pronouncing Japanese. This song is way too beautiful 🥰🥰 I often get judged by other people for liking Kpop since I'm in my middle thirties and they look at me in such a way that I should contain myself. But you know what I DON'T CARE life is too short to care what others think of me.
