I feel like the issue with most people is not that they feel like you shouldn't cut your because it's long and that you shouldn't cut long hair, but because it's harder for lots of people to grow hair to your length and when they see it they wish they had hair your length. This may not be everyone's perspective, but I do know that there are lots of people who feel this way. However, I'm not trying convince you that you shouldn't of cut your hair because I love the way the short cut looks on you, I'm just giving you my insight on what there may have thought.

Agreed, a lot of sistas have a hard time growing their hair out 2 such a length so it kinda saddens us when we see someone cut thier hair. I don't really think it's anything about holding longer hair on a pedestal really...maybe slight hair envy do 2 having those hair length goals tho. My best friends hair grows so quickly and she stays cutting her hair...I cringe every time she breaks out the scissors and my heart breaks a lil 2 watch her cuz my hair takes 4 EVER 2 grow out -__- I always tell her if my hair grew like hers I'd never cut it. I am in school now to be a cosmetologist and the messy look your going for would require you going to a shop to get your hair thinned out at the ends slightly, its like a feathering of the hair (please do not try that at home). I think your hair is actually on the thicker side. But doing that might make your ends look thinner than you'd like, but it also wont look blunt.

I hope this comment doesn't come off as rude. I don't see the point of you cutting your hair off, unless you plan on wearing your hair curly more often. Its no way you hair is going to be as nice and thick as it can be if you are constantly putting a flat iron through it. I always feel like people want awesome results without making a sacrifice. Sometimes thats sacrifice is going without using a flat iron and wearing your hair curly so it can maintain its health and fullness. I never really seen your hair big and curly because you always had heat damaged hair which you mentioned in a couple videos you wanted to change. people can be addicted to flat ironing just like many people are addicted to perms Most women that do straighten their hair and have thick hair usually keep their hair trimmed the same length which keep it healthy or use protective styling which is not straightening their hair for long periods of time.
