Maura is very popular in Europe and America, she has a successful modelling career, then went on love island UK and shot to fame here in Europe’s. She went on to host the American version of love island. Of course she’s beloved here in Ireland but she’s made her stamp and 4m+ followers on Instagram alone. Maybe it depends what you think is a celebrity? Only actors and singers not models or reality tv stars.

Did it ever cross your mind that they’re actually giving more air time to Oti and Melvin by involving them in these tasks? The less airtime a contestant gets tends to see them voted out earliest. More airtime is more votes. And everyone in this show is either very well paid or they’re using this show to boost their media profile. No one is a victim here.

You're missing the point if you think this is about humiliation - thats not quite the right word. People vote for many reasons, sometimes or often its because they want to see more of the person, or its punishment for poor behaviour. Most IMPORTANTLY the more airtime someone gets the better as the public gets to know them more which increases their chances of getting further.
