Sunghoon left his 10 years figure skating career to become an idol after going to a BTS concert! and he said on I-land that he wanted to prove to his parents that his decision was right and he did! he debuted as a member of Enhypen! at the finale of I-land, his parents told him that he already proved himself and he cried a lot! im so proud of sunghoon!

Sunghoon had bad eye sight due to 'Amblyopia' and had to go under 12hr long surgery. He was afraid to open up with people and became more introvert. So his mother suggested him to join sports and after seeing Kim Yuna he joined Ice skating and instantly fell in love. He started becoming more open and found himself back. His mom supported him so much, that journey is so inspirational. He then saw bts concert and wanted to try being an idol so he became trainee at bighit. He managed idol training, school and skating all and was competiting till last Dec. His parents were not that happy at first coz he was risking his established career so he wanted to prove them his talent as an idol. Now they are really proud of him😭😭

Omg I feel you I'm a hardcore figure skating fan and got into K-pop this year. So when I found out there was a figure skater in a survival show I had no other option but to stan. He's been competing till late February this year. And 10 months later he's and idol who skated(roller blades but still) at MAMA

Sunghoon still competes internationally even though he is a trainee of BIghit already..he trained in BH for 2yrs before Iland..he was inspired to take the idol route aftr watching BTS..He is a professional figure skater..but gave it up to pursue being an idol..

@@IMaeBreeze This guide is one of the most complete pre-debut ones, like now that they debuted we know more info about them, but it is still a pretty good guide and a little bit long but informative: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppPMiZ-kqpWVr7s and also this other has more information than the previous one I mentioned before because it was made after that one and you can complement some parts with this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXOwgZ-iZ6iBh7s They also have a reality show ''ENHYPEN&Hi'' that finished the last week and it has 4 episodes with ENG subs, if you want and have time, you may watch those 4 episodes on BigHit Labels channel and know more about their personalities and dialy routines, also the second guide I mentioned has many parts of their reality show and I-LAND. Those are pre-debut guides so I hope someone makes more ENHYPEN guide videos in which their predebut and debut information is explained in detail. Until then, these two are quite informative for people who did not see the 12 episodes of I-LAND or do not followed the group before their debut and want to know more about them. this guide is perfectly fine and good. It's called a predebut guide for a reason since if you took the time to look it up, you can see that it was uploaded very soon after the ending of I-land so before literally any information was released. its called unhelpful too cause its supposed to show the more funny and fun side of enhypen. do your research before putting other people's work down

Sunghoon is actually the rank 7 national athlete in the male division of south korea's figure skating athletes. He got a level 8 certificate last year while being a trainee at bighit.

I missed your live but I watched it and I just wanted to lyk that Jackson from Got7 is from a family of professional Athletes (olympic level) and he was supposed to be in the Olympics for fencing right before he became an idol. Him and Sunghoon are the only ones I know of like this though :)

In reality Big Hit Entertainment informed about this in their meetings with the community on their official YT channel (for everyone willing to face reality accessible): Belift Lab is one of the Big Hit Labels in the Big Hit company hierarchy. It's part of Big Hit. The management of Belift Lab is a co-operation of Big Hit and CJ Entertainment though. CJ ENM being the other big company with the TV channel MNET where the survival show I-LAND was done (like the Produce survival shows or in the movie part of CF ENM the movie Parasite). Initially there were 24 participants for I-LAND, but the show stage had issues and #24 broke his arm IIRC, so he was excluded from the show.

Actually Jake is Half korean but his nationality is Australian he was born and raised in australia and came to korea in 2019 for the auditions then he participated in I-land When jay first met jake he said jake wasnt good in speaking korean but unexpectedly he improved in less than a year.
