I don't know, why I've just now found this piece of genuinely great art NOW and not years ago, but the nostalgia of the song, characters and animationstyle all hit me in the feels. So who's ready for a somewhat long, rough interpretation of this amazing animation. This goes back to the alicorn immortality and The MLP FIM/Gen 3 issue so bare with me. After many eons the lands of Equestria have faded and only Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and Twilight are the only ones left from the era of when ponies basically ruled the planet. All that they knew and held dear is gone now, and Twilight's friends have passed away leading her to stray away from the other three alicorns. While Twilight ventures the ever changing world, she comes accustomed to the fact that a new species has control over the planet called humans. She befriends a few of them but it never feels the same as she tries to grasp the memory of her friends from so many years ago. One human she knows pretty well is a washed up pianist and they will sometimes sing music. Unknowing to her human friend the music is the only thing that can help Twilight remember her early life of happiness.

@@onealone-jt8oi well comment from 2 years ago, I think it is most likely due to her never wanting to let go of her friends. After all, with the, gone she only remembers them in memory and doesn’t want to forget them. I think her biggest fear is losing memory of her own friends. While Celestial and Luna are the only ones who knew fully well of losing those you cared for and moving on, Twilight remains stuck on the past: never letting go of the memory of her friends and never moving on. While indeed, she befriended some humans but as main comment above us said, it doesn’t feel the same when she’s with her old friends. Plus, I think there is that underlying fear that Twilight would outlive her new friends, the humans, like she did with her old ones. To me at least, I think Twilight sees being an Alicorn a curse than it is a blessing which is why she strayed away from the three remaining Alircorns.

I can't get over how you show the keys being pressed or with the strings on the guitars when most people just take the easy way and only make it look like they are playing the instrument while never showing the keys or strings of said instruments. I never expected TF2 and MLP to be in the same video… ever. But this was pretty good nonetheless. Music was nice, editing on point, and you got another KZbinr complimenting you on having properly animated the piano keystrokes to match the notes played.

Detailed animation. Great, mood fitting, lighting. Solid lipsyncing. Great framing. etc, etc. Keep up the fantastic work. One word of advice from on SFMer to another, mostly on the grounds of the lipsyncing, I'd like to see more emotion in the mouth itself. You know, bigger expressions for bigger notes. If they're belting out lyrics on the top of their lungs, their mouth should be much bigger and in turn more expressive. That's my opinion anyways. Overall the lipsync was spot on. Really top notch work. Especially on the sniper playing the piano. That's detail and dedication. Congrats! TL;DR Iz prety gud.

It is a great song, so good choice. Lip sync was spot on. Facial expressions were real and well placed and formed. Body motions were also fluid and not chunky or ridged. Attention to detail was amazing, especially the sniper being on correct keys while playing the piano. I'm a fan now. How to see more soon.

The downside of being a princess, Twilight is so closely tied to her friends it is a part of her cutie mark. I couldn't help but watch the detail you put in, both the lip Sync, the Instruments synchronization was more than just them mimicking the movements, it was like they were actually _playing_ the Instruments, which sadly, few animators do. You know what all these SFM pony videos prove right? It is possible to do a 3D version of the show that looks like the 2D show but feels more tangible. That and that people already like this style of animation and would watch such a show.
