Red, I originally saw it as a compromise between Shadow Paladin & Royal paladin in general, but hearing this brother theory I think its a compromise between two brothers always fighting, and with The Dark Dictator and Alfred, It's easily able to be seen as them older, with Alfred calling Blaster Blade, it could be as if hes calling to be young again (Dont judge me Im just guessing) and Dark Dictator just used his power to get stronger.

Okay Ill make this quick. Blaster Dark was the OG BB but fell into a “pit” which made him dark and so Blaster Dark Ahmes otherwise Blaster Blade was the second holder of the Blaster Blade. Im pretty sure Ahmes is MLB not sure though. He can control both Light and Darkness. Some are probs wrong but yeah thats their backstories.

The characterization in this series feels richer. The characters have clearer personalities and sharper intents. Generally speaking, that leads to better quality stories. Of course this is a game-type anime series. The primary purpose (as it should be) is to hype the game. No shame in that. Even so, that primary purpose is better served with a strong story.
