Concerned about the excess of garbage produced by their community, it was in the context of Chama na Solução (Call on Solution) that young people from Yaká Porã village - translated into Portuguese as "Rio Bonito", which means "Beautiful River", were able to reflect, think and intervene to mitigate the problem in their territory.
The scope of the collective project made possible by #ChamaNaSolução #CallOnSolution consists of offering training workshops to all residents of the community, to learn about the right destination of each material. The proposal also provides the installation of garbage cans and recycling bins scattered throughout the village, with a difference: all communication about the separation of materials and correct disposal is done in the official Guarani language. To ensure the final destination of the separated waste, the project also formed an agreement with a recycling cooperative that will carry out the weekly selective collection in the region.
