Our universe is easier to understand when we use our imaginations. In this excerpt (with English subtitles) from the BBC series "Fun to Imagine," Nobel physicist Richard Feynman (1918 1988) explains how heat and fire works from the perspective of atoms, how trees are made mostly of water and air elements (held together by sun light), and the flames we see when wood burns is actually energy from the sun being released- as carbon (in wood) and oxygen atoms (in the air) rush together because of their natural attraction to each other...
HD upload of all six episodes of the BBC series FUN TO IMAGINE with physicist and Nobel laureate Richard Feynman enjoying himself talking about science can be found here. With Chinese and English subtitles. • HD Feynman: FUN TO IMA...
This was originally shot on 16mm film at Feynman's house in Altadena, California, and first broadcast on BBC2 in July 1983.

If every school in the world had just 1 Richard Feynman, this world would hopefully be in a better place. (;

I am mesmerized by Richard Feynman; I could sit and listen to him for hours on end. He had the knack for explaining complicated things in pretty simple terms that didn't cut the truth short.

He was losing me for a Sec, but when he finished it with "The light that went in, the Sun light is the Fire Coming Back!" 😮🔥👍💯 Wow!! 😁

Such a great teacher! I love how excited he was about physics even later in his life.

Fire from a tree burning is stored energy from the sun... mindblown🤯
