Yeah Ratio lovers, he's not going to be bad, please enjoy your unit as much as you're able to But Soul is kinda... right though? HSR isn't dead but they know they need to do these things to keep a sustainable popularity so they do them. Genshin doesn't have this problem because there's more audience that can conform to boot licker status and will eat up Hoyo adding a new type of apple as the main feature for the new patch. But anyways I'll still die on the hill that it doesn't really matter that they're different games. HSR just has worse fundamentals than genshin no question. What makes it compete is hsr does more with what they have.

You know why monopolies are illegal and considered unethical? It’s because not giving the consumer options means one company entirely dictates the price. Genshin is a sort of monopoly, but not in the traditional sense. Since the game is to big to fail it doesn’t have to be aware of the viewer experience or even listen to consume complaints for that matter. Genshin is content with what it is, and is unlikely to change as a result. StarRail on the other hand, has to compete to maintain attention, especially while in the shadow of its much more successful older brother. Genshin may have “more content” but how much of that content is actually worth exploring? How much of that content is time spent catching butterflies or slowly climbing mountains for a few flowers? Length of a game doesn’t dictate quality, and while genshin seems like it has so much more, a lot of it just amounts to exploring 10 times more for the same rewards. That is Genshins biggest flaw. Dead play time, much like dead air in a video, jsut wastes the consumers time, and time can never be replaced.

HSR gives respect of time to many players that are also having office work like me, having a quality time with family/friends and healthy lifestyle.👊 HSR cared for players Mental health by giving lots of QOL and Auto function with lots of big rewards, so you don't have to spend so much time in the game just to get few primogems like what genshin is doing. I stopped playing genshin as it takes too much time to get rewards from hunting 2 primos from 80 chest just to get 1 pull, which is insanity, while in HSR, you get 10 pulls by just logging in. Simple as that.

I play both but to be honest with the way Genshin devs treat us players is so bad especially how trash their anniversary is, I just don't want go hardcore with the game and won't spent money anymore. I'd say star rail is just way more polished experience, the game gives you very little to complain about and even in tht case they may fix it later down the line. It's very solid. Genshin on the other hand can sometime go down the gutter with it's quality but the highs it achieves are also just as much higher. It's so ambitious and dear gawd some of the shit they put in tht game is unfukin believable just for it to vanish it in next update, it truly is a gift from gawd tht they can pull it together in such a timely manner. Genshin is shit 8 months out of 12 but the remaining 4 are so fukin good it's unreal while star rail is a much more consistent experience all around. There isnt a right approach to doing this, and it's hard to say which is better game in any capacity. Although genshin is more important of the two star rail will just feel better to play most of the time. Despite all tht I keep returning to genshin impact just waiting for the next high.

Man, I swear, Genshin is in such a pitiful state. The devs don't give af about the community and the community is full of people who would defend the game until death. This is the absolute worst combination possible, it creats such a toxic enviroment, which then leads to these dramas. I feel like that's not the same in Star Rail, there is actual communication between the community and the devs, which creats a healthy enviroment. I don't know if I have missed anything, but I have yet to see big scandals/dramas regarding Star Rail. Every community has his toxic side, no exeption, but the Genshin community is just being so salty at this point. Also, Dr. Ratio is not bad, I heard he actually dishes out more damage than Seele. It's just that the current content favors Destruction characters. Just wait for them to release single target oriented content and you'll see how Hunt characters climb the ranks.

I have played both games and I prefer open world adventure/exploration over turn based. Genshin is by far the worst open world adventure type game I have played because its open world is an empty waste land and exploration is tedious. HSR on the other hand is second turn based game that I enjoy, the other one being Persona.

I play both games basically everyday, and I agree with every point you made in the video -Aloy is completely different from ratio. In genshin she has no story, no lore, no constellations and her BiS weapon is locked behind Playstation. They literally just dropped her in the game and called it a day. Not to mention she's nowhere near from being meta. Shes also the most limited 5 star in the game because if you missed her that's it. Ratio on the other hand is a limted 5 star. I don't know why some hsr players were literally complaining about "bruh i was saving all my jades for Dr Ratio and now he's free". But yeah he has everything that I meantioned that aloy lacks. And sure he's no dhil but hes definitely going to be usable and will do his job, kinda like seele rn. Shes not the best but you can beat the game with her. But the genshin player side of me understands why theyre upset (and probably are using aloy and/or attacking star rail as some sort of coping mechanism) it does suck how these 2 games are made by the same company, but hsr has gotten stuff that genshin players have been asking for years. For example HSR has like 10 different endgame modes yet genshin still only has abyss (lets be real anything below floor 11 is a cakewalk). Or how genshin players have been asking for more resin for years atp and star rail has not only given more trailblaze power, but with an additional overdrafts system when the TP reaches to max. But i really dont think that's any reason for genshin players to attack hsr players and vice versa. The blame is really on hoyoverse itself for treating genshin players like trash. And also some people defending their actions like istg genshin could literally remove half of its map and some mf would be like "be grateful you still have the other half of the map dumbass"

This reminds me of the Forza vs Gran Turismo BS that went down in the early 2010’s, with people making toxic arguments about which is better. its cool were getting a free 5 star, but the amount of people trolling genshin players, and the fact that Genshin has been the most successful gacha game and does very little to please its playerbase causes this argument to be valid in principle. Star Rail is sort of fighting an uphill battle, since its content is more limited, they try harder to make up for this with more QoL and rewards, Its something that unnecessarily divides the community when not even a year into the games life cycle were getting a free LIMITED 5 star, while Genshin STILL has yet to have a free STANDARD 5 star, and no, aloy doesnt count. At the end of the day people just want these games to be good.

Is Dr. Ratio really a controversial topic? No, just pure copium bonanza. Like, I get it. Genshin being the most profitable out of the current 3 top Hoyo games (Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact) and being so stingy with the rewards to make the average F2P player experience better, makes zero sense. Especially after their anniversary debacle. But being the bigger playerbase game, I guess they kinda know that they can be as "bad" as possible and not suffer in the short or the long run. People will still play the game and it won't cut into their revenue. It still goes a long way to be in some way generous to the playerbase. The main mechanic for getting chracters is still gacha and that won't change much either, even if you give players an occasional good character. This makes their team lineups and content much faster, thus happier player = good player retention.

I don't understand why generosity have to do with which one is better, like HSR giving free Dr. Ratio basically their way of saying thank you for the community support, you can say it was a made up reason because the game is dying or whatever, in the end of the day they already and clearly stated it was a way to say thank you. What is funny about this whole drama is that I saw some people making 'what if's scenarios' and when someone made up a scenario that maybe hoyo is giving genshin players a free Xiao for lantern rite; the majority of the genshin players response was to shit on the character, and say that they would not get him even if he was free. Like, I love both games, but genshin community acts like a way too important diva who thinks they're better than everyone, and boy some people love to dickride this game devs even when they don't do shit for it. So yeah, in the unlikely scenario, hoyo decides to give genshin player something more than a 10 pull and 5 chickens; somehow the playerbase will find ways to complain and be ungrateful.

Here's the best thing, even in the best case scenario for them that the devs do it because the character is bad or the game is dying, Let's say even that was the case. What is it matter to a normal player ? you get free character that CAN be upgrade. So even in the best case scenario for them it's still only show genshin is such a pathetic game, like, saying the game having millions of players like it has any impact on a normal average player, they eating shit every patch and they thank the dev for it, and now they fucking making excuses, protesting to NOT getting a 5 star.

I think the "they are giving a 5* for free because the game is dead" is such a big exaggeration and no sense but it has some truth on it. HSR doesn't have the gameplay freedom of Genshin and it is way more restrictive and repetitive so they need to do extra stuff to keep players happy. As someone who plays and ejonjoy both games I can definitely see myself dropping HSR before Genshin if I have to choose between them but thankfully I don't think something like that would happen to me.

the game is kinda dead because we got so many banger patches that we got a filler patch and the game actually respects your time so of course veteran players aren’t gonna play as much. The free Dr Ratio is a win win on both sides as it brings for traction to the game and also puts the devs in a positive light. So the fact that genshin stans are even talking when their anniversary rewards is 20 pulls it’s kinda laughable. For those wondering if DR ratio is gonna suck, based on some leakers he’s probably gonna be stronger than seele so yh take that as you will.

What's funny...is genshin fans are speaking on What's dead but have somehow forgot the 50+ collabs they've had that had NOTHING to do with the game lol. Even aloy was a collab based on Playstation! Everyone wasn't even originally getting here.. So now basic marketing tactics is bad for any game NOT genshin? Come on... Also, leakers aside he is the strongest stc in the game.
