My wife died Friday after her second battle with cancer, and only 32. She suffered tremendously. She's at peace and has no suffering, but i truly am lost. Dont see a way forward. Oh my goodness - I’m so sorry to hear - well I’m in a similar boat - lost my mom to cancer and she was the hub that held the family together - and my brother and my dad and myself continue to struggle our lives with out her- well when this song was released I could not believe his fitting it was format that time!! my brother was involved in an accident which got his girlfriend killed and he is in prison now for the rest of his life!! So now my dad and I are all we have it just eats me up inside at times - this song I listen to over and over again it takes me back to those memories because of how wrecked my life is and now trying to pick the pieces up to keep moving forward has been an upward challenge for me but I keep going - one day at a time. A bit late posting to this, but it came up as KZbin was randomly playing things for me. I've listened to it multiple times be it on here, the radio, or spotify. I just wanted to take a moment to write out how it has affected and helped me during a very difficult process. When I first heard it, 2 years ago, my grandfather had just passed away. The man, for all intent and purpose, that was my father figure for majority of my life. Every time I hear this song, like now, I can't help but take a moment to remember him. To grieve him. Lost my mom to cancer last year when I was 19, I'm still in college. This song really speaks to me because after she passed, it's like I became a different person. My grades started slipping, I started sleeping around and getting into alcohol and drugs. Things I never would have done before. I just wish I would have been able to talk to her one last time, because chemo really messed her head up in her last days. My flight back home was late and she passed while I was on the plane, every day I think about what I could have done differently to show her that I loved her because I never had the chance. When I heard this song in the car, I started bawling, the first time I've cried since she passed. It might sound cheesy, but I've been listening to Imagine Dragons religiously since I was in elementary school, and this is the one that really has inspired me to turn my behavior around, because I know what I'm doing isn't what she would have wanted. I miss you, mom. Thank you, Imagine dragons, for inspiring me my whole life.

My aunt(44) died so unexpectedly mounth ago. The biggest funeral ive seen in my life. Thousands of people whose life she changed and touched in a way were there. She was there one day and the other she just wasnt. The 4 kids she left behind 2 of which are 5 years old are left to her husband whom she marries a year ago. They just got into new house the kids started preschool the 3rd kid is about to finish school for pilot. And 4rth has a 5 figure job. She just got her life on tracks she was so happy this song reminds me of her. Turns out arthery in her left shoulder decided to give up that type of damage means death within 30 mins and canot be detected. I just wanna the crew of imagine dragons for making cry the hell out of me♥️

I've heard this song a hundred times and love it.... But tonight. Tonight it hit so very differently. I lost my mom in 2020 quite tragically (not due to covid). At the time I didn't have time to process my loss. I was incredibly sad, but I always hide my feels because I have to be the strong one to hold everyone else together. There are still days, 3 years later. I pick up th phone to call my mom only to remember, she won't be answering the phone. Today, for the first time I let all that pain process. Not that it's gone, it will be with me till the day I die. But it's not bottled up ready to exoplode anymore. I'll see you again Mom. 💜

Alisha Reynolds, Dan's Sister-in-law died from Cancer, on a interview he say she was a light in the darkness, bringing joy everywhere she goes and every person she cross by, in my personal experiences I have lost 3 love ones against Cancer, leaving a void in my heart, first was one of my paternal uncles, second my elder brother and third my maternal uncle, others died from either Parkinson (Paternal Uncle), Covid-19 (My grandmother) and a rare illness (Another paternal uncle), this was one by one on a short lapse of time, leaving me with no chance of mourn those lost!! so I feel sorry for Dan, Cancer is a hell of a Sickness!!! Edit: Also, Love how he is going to the microphone to sing with the band but, he is so sad that he just can't sing and go away to clear his mind going to the beach to get the acceptance that she is not around, just those memories he has of her!!!

This song hits hard as I Lost my 4 year old son to brain cancer. During his daily radiation treatments Before they would sedate him, he would play Thunder and Believer as he sang to every word. He would dance his way down the hall to the sedation room as he would sing loud for everyone to hear. He Loved Music but most of all He Loved Imagine Dragons so much! He fought so hard. My soul is shattered without his light in my life. The Waves of grief are so strong some days. 💔😖
