to me, songs always have an expiry date. It comes out, i listen to it for a few days, then it gets to the point that whenever i hear it again it sounds annoying or bad. But when it comes down to imagine dragons' songs, their songs always last weeks, sometimes a month, before i even start getting properly bored of them

I love that this wasnt edited, harmonised or in any way altered, or slowed down to give them time to take their breaths. J.Cole knows how to pick them. Everyone on the Dreamville label is incredibly talented. There’s tons of rappers right now that are amazing and actually have a clear message when they rap.. sadly they aren’t as mainstream and don’t receive much radio play

The imperfections and voice cracks when you hear live singing is 100% a better experience than some auto tuned “perfection”. Like any art, emotions should be felt through the work, and when you “perfect” in these kinds of artificial ways you don’t feel emotion, you feel something produced.

I've never watched Imagine Dragons perform live before, and I must say.. it's really something magical seeing not just Dan, but the whole band absolutely owning the stage and visibly having the time of their lives. I've seen far too many artists just frozen up from pressure or following pre-planned choreography without really enjoying themselves, so seeing Imagine Dragons putting on a show by just being themselves is SO refreshing

There wasn’t a single moment of this whole performance that wasn’t cool and like really well done, the first song, female vocals, blending into the second, male vocals, and his movement across the stage while singing, the balance of vocals and backing, the amazing rap, the guitar solo and drumming amongst others!!!

Actually, i spent several days to learn that JID verse, and compared to the recorded version he had some little mistakes. But yeah, that was really good. And the one thing i actually can't imagine how to make right now is how to save enough oxygen for the last few lines :D especially considering he was actively walking on the scene.
