However, I do believe it's like that due to the person drawing not knowing how bullets work.

In general, butterfly effects mean that even the smallest changes to other characters' situation could cause a big deviation from the world's win condition, while 1 slightly better person may favour the MC's side in the long run they could also secure a close win that could result in a loss overall, a new backup MC could solve way more issues if they avoid hampering the 1st one's growth but again could lead to complacency or a switch of tactics that will win against the MCs if used sooner in the timeline
