As somebody who believes in compassion, kindness, love, forgiveness and empathy to every living thing in a world so full of darkness.. Singing "you may say I'm a dreamer.. But I'm not the only one..." hurt my heart a little because it's so true... I work hard to help those less fortunate.. I don't get paid much but I don't care.. I don´t know how people live in China but i heard that the chinnese that leave the country, do not leave because they need but because they want to open business abroad, and that there they take care of the elderly more than capitalist countries, plus, some people say that we should be worried about china being the first economy in the world because they are communist, but the world is very shitty nowadays because of capitalism....So...who is right and who is wrong? This is the greatest example of how a beautiful tune can be used to advance a twisted idea that I do believe has ever been composed to date. It rises to the level of insidious, but passes for a masterpiece to the masses who are swayed with the emotion it conveys to embrace a very dark and deadly ideology with a murderous past history. I would not be surprised if in fact his seemingly senseless murder was not in fact a carefully planned assassination. While I would not agree he deserved it if he was I would agree that his ideology was detrimental to the well being of his fans and audiences as well as the general public at large. No doubt a Stalin, or a Mao, and others of their ilk would have embraced him and welcomed him with open arms as the master political propagandist he had become. All I can say is "Why did you do it John? " Why did you make the leap from artist to political propagandist? And why in the hell did you do it in a way that supported the ideology of the most murderous and authoritarian dictators we know of throughout the history of mankind? Another analogy I guess you could use is to say He somehow managed to put lipstick on a pig, but anyway you cut it it still still sings out loud in clear for what it is. "Communism" which is in fact dictatorship under an iron fisted mostly hereditary 1%. The central pillar of communism is in fact the monopoly. In others the consolidation and control of something. Property for instance... If no one is allow to own their own property theoretically you can argue everyone owns it, but that is only under idea conditions which is completely unrealistic. What it means is the 1% hereditary rulers get to decide on how all the land is used. Rest assured they will always get their pick of the litter, or in the case of land they will get the country clubs and golf courses. The rest of us will have to be content with a small play ground with a patch of sand and a monkey bar. If your lucky and get a promotion they might allow you to move to a nicer neighborhood with slightly larger rooms within walking distance of a park that has the standard sand patch and monkey bar in addition to a swing set, teeter totter, and a slide. More than enough to make fans of The Jeffersons envious for being successful enough to be "Move'n On Up".
