Even though this song is 3 years old, I have so much nostalgia for it. (Especially around 1:58 and from 2:46 on) The song/ album came out right around my last day of school of Freshman year, and I remember listening to it on that day and just thinking “wow this is a masterpiece”. Every time I hear a new song from imagine dragons I always get goose bumps, I couldn't imagine how hard it was for Dan when he was bullied in school when they said he was worthless, he can't achieve anything, they broke him down like he was nothing to them they discourage people like in the lyrics of thunder they say "Who did you think you are, dreaming bout' being a big star." And Dan still had the courage to follow his dreams. That's why every time they make a new song, I take a moment to take in how much he's been through and has still followed his dreams And so if this comment gets any hate, at least i know how to appreciate real hard workers

Through 6 years of my life i was nothing to no one, only my family appreciated me. but that all changed when i met a girl as year 7 rolled around and she changed my once angry, sad and depressed life, to a now happy life. im not afraid of how i look, and when people bring me down, i ignore. and 1 girl can change 6 years of anger and sadness. she's the reason I'm pushing forward to my goals. - i guess what i'm trying to say is. If you let someone who's willing to help you, don't push them away. because if you do, you might just loose your chance for happiness for a long time- unless you change yourself. its hard to do so if you're living in depression but it won't be if you try, try for years if you have to. I saw Image Dragons live in Buenos Aires in March 2023. My interpretation of each of the songs. Believer: This song tastes like venom and almost vengeful. It's like taking a vacation to the dark side and enjoying every moment of it. Whatever It Takes: It feels VERY angsty and raw. Like you know there's a lot of fault and regret flooding everywhere. Thunder: This song is a nostalgic and whimsical flashback of good times. But that of course changes when you realize that the past in the past, and you have to confront your own demons now without someone holding your hand. Walking The Wire: It's the feeling of confidence and striding through a battlefield and knowing that you'll make a difference in the world. You can smell gunpowder and victory as you keep moving forward.
