Comet C2017 K2 (PanSTARRS), which cannot be spotted with the naked eye, turned out to be a perfect test object for my new ASKAR FRA 500, f/5.6 astrograph. I combined the ASKAR with a compact full-frame SIGMA fp digital camera and stacked multiple short exposures (using Siril). Despite the lack of a precise tracking mount and suburban conditions I succeeded in generating decent images of the comet and deep sky Messier objects like M35, M97, M106 and NGC 7000.
