Not even joking, I could talk about this stuff for literally months on end. I get goosebumps talking about this stuff. A lot of the creatures in here remind me of the different species in Mass Effect, which actually first opened my mind to the fact that life on our planet would not determine the building blocks for life on other planets. World of Warcraft also does a good job showing why different species evolved like they did. Tardigrades are a great example of how what we think of as "life" doesn't need the conditions that Earth mammals and many Earth insects do. We're not the exception, we're a localized reaction. And no, none of these horrify me lol (but I also romanced Garrus in Mass Effect, sooooo.... 😂)

I think that's also why "The Expanse" was so well received. The "belters" who worked on the asteroid belts became tall and lanky and pale because of the low gravity. Mars became and technological powerhouse and eventually went to war with earth... Man I gotta finish that series
