So I've been looking for an automated fish feeder, to my surprise you have the exact same fish aquarium i do & i was so happy you were able to use it just by taking the flap off! I'm buying this for sure now! Thank you!!

You're welcome... I was trying to figure out where I was going to place the fish feeder... thought I would have to cut the top or leave the top off. I was grateful once I noticed the flap would just come out as well. Now it does not sit perfectly, but maybe a foam piece could be added to the clamp to get it to sit perfectly, but it works well in that location even without it. Well, thanks for watching

This is an excellent video, thank you! It walked me through the exact thing I was trying to do (even though this thing is way more complicated than it needs to be).. This feeder definitely does the job, but it really annoys me that you can't turn it off without going through all of the menus to change the feedings to be "off", and its impossible to remember this without returning to the video or writing it all down. I end up just closing the food slider to stop it from feeding (which is a total waste of batteries). Also this stupid thing loses its time and settings when you change the batteries. It seems like they could have done *something* to have it keep its brains for 30 seconds..

Well, thank you, and that's a good tip to slide the door closed when you're not using it. My kids forget to feed the fish daily, so I normally have mine running all the time. Also, you could always leave the time for feedings set and just stop the drum from spinning by selecting how many times it spins and set it for zero arrows and then the only battery usage would be for the clock.

No 7:30 is the current time... feeding starts at 8
