Most Magnificent Royal Cremation Ubud in 2024 - Ubud is full of Tourists - a Rare Ceremony in Bali

The Pelebon or Ngaben (cremation) ceremony at Puri Agung Ubud, for the late Tjokorda Bagus Santaka was held on Sunday 14 April 2024. The ritual uses three main facilities, one of which is the nine Bade Tumpang (level) 25 meters high. Bade is paraded to the Setra from Catus Pata Ubud with a distance of 800 meters, alternating every 200 meters. This Bade is used to carry the body to the grave and is accompanied by the Naga Banda (which previously carried out the sacred ritual of arching the Naga Banda by the priest before being paraded to the grave) and the Lembu ( purple) which is used for the cremation/burning process of bodies placed in graves.
The late Tjokorda Bagus Santaka, the son of the King of Ubud Tjokorda Suyasa, died on February 1 2024 at the age of 64 due to illness. "In his life he was a figure who was an expert in the field of Ubud customs, and was highly respected by traditional leaders and indigenous communities
