Thank you for your brilliant explanation. This is not a personal attack on Ghazali. You made difficult points simplified for us, and we appreciated your wisdom. Ignore negative comments and keep on doing your best job for the Ummah...JazakaAllah!

Kimiya-e-Saadat (the “Alchemy of Grace”) is the masterpiece of "Hujjatul Islam" (Ghazali). The copy used here for reference purposes is from Madina Publishing Company, Karachi, Pakistan. The translator is "Maulana" Mohammad Saeed Ahmed Naqshbandi. Al-Ghazzaaly - may Allah have mercy on him - said: ((Abu Turaab en-Nakhshuby oneday said to one of his followers: “If you have seen Aba Yazeed” - Al-Bustaamy - he said: I'm busy with someone else, then when Abu Turaab said this phrase a lot : “If you have seen Aba Yazeed!!” the follower became angry and said: woe to you! What do I do with Aby Yazeed? I saw Allah and that sufficed me!! Abu Turab said: so I got angry and I couldn't take it, so I said: woe to you!! you take Allah for Aby Yazeed, if only you saw Aba Yazeed one time that would have been better for you than seeing Allah seventy times! He said: so that follower was shocked and he denied this saying, so he said: and how is that? He said: woe to you!! don't you see Allah at your place, so He appears to you according to your rank, and you see Aba Yazeed with Allah where He appeared to him according to his rank)) (Al-Ihyaa: 4/305). In Ehyaul Uloom vol.2 p.52 Ghazali goes on to say, Imam Hasan used to divorce four women and marry four women at the same hour. That is why the Prophet has said, “Hasan is from me” (p.55). The messenger of Allah said, “No work is dearer to Allah than remaining hungry and thirsty.” (Imam Ghazali, Kimiya-e-Saadat p.483). In Ehyaul Uloom vol.2 p.52 Ghazali goes on to say, “When a man’s organ is in erection, two thirds of his mind and two thirds of his religion have departed from him.” After finishing your meal lick the cup or plate and drink its washings. That becomes a marital gift for the hoors (p.13). Imam Ghazali (died 1111 CE). The copy of his famous Ehyaul Uloom, being used here for reference purposes, was printed by Maktaba Rahmania Urdu Bazaar, Lahore, and translated by "Maulana" Mohammad Ehsan Nanotwi. The title of the book translates as "The Renaissance of All Knowledge." Some quotes from his book, Junaid Baghdadi used to say, “I need sex as much as I need food” (Ehyaul Uloom p.53). Hazrat Umar Farooq used to break his fast (not by eating or drinking), but by having sexual intercourse. During Ramadhan he used to have intercourse with three concubines before Salat-il-Isha (Ehyaul Uloom 2:52). The best prescription for good health is to marry young women (Ehyaul Uloom 2:37). Men of knowledge sleep on their right side, kings sleep on their left, and Satan sleeps with his face down (reference same, p.39).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I was reading The Confessions of Al Ghazzali, it was mentioned in the editorial note that Imam Al Ghazzali was born in 1058 AD and died in 1111AD, henceforth he lived 53 years. Not that I'm trying to be pedantic about it, just want to get the right information.

He (Al-Ghazalee) also said in the book 'Al-Mufsih bil-Ahwal': "While in their state of wakefulness, the Sufis are able to witness the angels and souls of the prophets, hear their voices and take hold of benefit from them. Then this condition escalates from the witnessing (of their) images to levels in which they are contained within these domains." The factors that caused these individuals to write these books was their little knowledge of the Sunnah, Islam and the narrations, as well as their dedication for what they approved of from the way of the people (Sufis). They only approved this way because of adoration for abstinence (zuhd) that was established in their souls. They did not see any condition better than the condition of these people (Sufis) in regards to appearance, nor any speech more pleasant than their speech, whereas in the biographies of the Salaf, they found a form of harshness. So the people inclined very strongly towards these individuals (Sufis).

You can choose to deny karamaat if you want. Its not a pillar of faith to believe in karamaat. So I don't get whats your point on the first quote. And subhanAllah my friend, "these individuals" what a great way to show respect to the Giant of Muslim History Hujjat-ul-Islam Imam al-Ghazali. Know your place please, and be respectful of such great personalities. Arrogance is the sin that caused that fall of the best worshiper of Allah i.e. Iblees.

AL-GHAZZALI and ZAKARIA KANDHALVI---------Kaa'ba goes on a visit. And Ghazzaaly writes- and said: ((and like that is the state of the friends of Allah (Awliyaa), so in these types - of people - you should look for them.)).And he said - : ((and of them, one, whom the Ka'bah comes to him, and circumambulate him while visiting him)) Al-Ihyaa: 1/269). Zakaria Kandhalvi, copied the same story in his story book, Fazael Aamal and Darul Uloom deoband issued a fatwa that it is possible

Hafiz Ibn Kathir (died 774H) said about al-ghazzali ((and he wrote in this period his book “Ihyaa-Uloom Al Deen” and it's a weird book that contains various types of religious information, mixed with some Sufi stuff and heart works, but it has lots of non-authentic Hadeeths, and fabricated ones, like there is in other books that are used as a proof of Halaal [Lawful] and Haraam [Unlawful], so, the book that's been put for heart works, arousal of interest, and intimidation is easier than others, and Ibn ul-Jawzy then Ibn Salaah criticized him a lot, even Al-Mazurry wanted to burn his book “Ihyaa Uloom Al Deen”, also some others of Magharibah (people of Maghrib), and they said: this is the book of Ihyaa (resurrecting) Uloom (the sciences) Deen (of his religion), about our religion: its resurrection is the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), like it was mentioned in his biography in “At-Tabaqaat”, Ibn Sakrah, falsified the faults in “Ihyaa Uloom Al Deen” and explained the falsehood of it in a useful book)). (Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihaayah: 12/174). aL Ghazzali , the man who incorporated Sufi heresies in to islam .

Know Sufism has two pillars, namely istiqamah with God and harmony with His creatures. Thus whoever istiqamah with Allah SWT, behaves well towards others, and socializes with them politely, then he is a Sufi - Al-Ghazali

according to wikipedia its says "Others have cited his movement from science to faith as a detriment to Islamic scientific progress" its funny how you say " don't judge people without knowledge" but yet you believe in a religion you try to live by a stupid book (quran) man islam is a violent religion please let go of it and free your mind from it man its a beautiful thing when you dont have any beliefs nor gods when you do that youll see TRUE KNOWLEDGE and TRUE BEAUTY of our universe
