You don't have to be Shia just based on 1 verse. There are many other verses that you can use as evidence, but you are taking issue with just one so that your intention to become a Shia is not pure.

Shia keeps claiming that there are people who are not happy with Ali (as) and etc. and I’m asking u as normal Muslim from Shia scholars. Which Muslim is against Ali or even not happy with Ali? I don’t know why shias keep lying that they are the only one who loves Ali and ahlubayt. They say they love ahlulbayt and follow ahlulbayt but I don’t see anything they follow. What ever shia claim and their actions got nothing to do with ahlulbayt 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nowhere in the Quran Ali is mentioned nowhere in the Quran it says follow Ahlul-bayt. Just NOWHERE
