This is a woman of style, class and integrity that's why David married her. When a designer does not use black models black people shouldn't buy from them. If we don't stand for something we'll fall for anything. Thank you Iman for all you do. May God grant you health, success and happiness always.

then get more black designers. black americans themselves are very racist and not willing to have non blacks in thir stuff. dont want whites in rap, dont want them in rnb, hated to hav companies make shea butter for white hair. black pple face it dont buy designer brands in effective numbers to make it worth it to hire a tremendous number of them. then you have the black director who openly said he wouldnt hire white leads then dont expect others to just hire you, the world should never work wit that bias

Part of the issue in today’s time is models STILL trying to be apart of these designers worlds INSTEAD of doing like Rihanna and starting your OWN. If Naomi, Tyra, Iman, Beverly Johnson, etc started their own fashion houses with support from up and coming BLACK Designers using models of color, artists of color, actors and actresses of color we wouldn’t need these old timers with outdated views

as far as Im concerned, she should get a Kennedy Center Honor..because in MANY ways, fashion is art. But her true value, is revealed in her legacy....a legacy that gave birth to the careers of Veronica Webb, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Alek Wek and others. The fact that she became a mogul, is almost an afterthought, because WE KNEW that would happen for her one day. But from her vantage point, there cant be any better examples of how influential and powerful she has become, than the models that saw her and said "thats who I want to be like". When I was a very little guy of 8 or 9 yrs of age, I saw her walking down a runway, somewhere, on tv. She was essentially a "rookie" and hadnt been modeling, long at all. And I turned to my Mom, who was watching with me..and I asked her "is she real?"...because she just looked "too good to be true".
