This guy is a star in life. Naturally. Iman Shumpert the person, the spiritual being is his greatest talent in which he shines brightest. But he moonlights as an NBA shooting guard & independent hip hop artist & is also talented in those endeavors. The fact that he doesn't even know the true order of his gifts only amplifies the realness of this Young Black King. He thinks he's a professional Basketball player 1st, who happens to be on a hiatus, so is using the time off to train & dig into his passion for hip hop, something that he is also known for, with a need to express himself lyrically through music. & is just a different type of dude that has the unique quality of being openly introspective & honest almost to a fault. Which means his nature is to be spiritually transparent when he's chopping it up with you. His heart & soul is on full display as he reveals his truth & most likely wouldn't do shit that he'd be ashamed of so wouldn't feel the need to lie & hide from the truth. & if it was something that just aint yo bizness I could picture him telling you "it gotdamn ain't yo business" lol. So being open & real is what resonates with people. This cat just draws you in by just being him. That shit is rare cuz most people are shady & hiding behind the fake persona they created for the public. But homie ain't even trippin he cool as fuck for not trying to be cool. That's why his light shines brighter in conversations than it does on the court or in the booth. & his charm lies in the fact that he's too real, too goofy, & too humble to know any better😂😂😂

Ok.. I have seen this interview 3 different times with around a year between each watch, and love it just as much each time. Shump is the kind of guy that every one loves having in their group of friends. He is very intelligent, and for me, is surprisingly thoughtful with the things he says. I always saw him as a goofball (which he is), but that is such a small part of who this man is. He has amazing stories, and they are amplified 10 fold, by his personality, sense of humor, and amazing story telling. He is a treasure.. Not to mention his insane atheleticism.. Obviously you need to be an amazing athelete to play any pro sport, but this man was the elite of the elite in that regard.. I wont even get into his impressive rapping right now, but it had to be mentioned. This is just one man giving another his roses now, before he is gone. Thank you for being you, and the countless hours of entertainment on and off the court. 🌹🌹
