In all Abrahamic faiths they say that god breathed his spirit into man and therefore we have the ability to manifest gods attributes. For example god is the source of peace, the source of love, source of mercy, so whenever you’re experiencing and also providing those things to other people, you’re not only manifesting a godly attribute and reflecting more light in your life, but you’re also spreading the light to the others you’re providing it too, that’s why it feels so pure and clean - a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. The biggest problem with this perinealist approach is it negates the teaching of islam. I understand from a purely unbiased perspective you look at all religions at equal merit till you analyse each one of them. But what will be the criteria to accept or reject the scripture it seems easy and straight forward for us Muslims because the quran itself lays down the criteria(but we are biased if we accept the criteria because we are accepting quran as authority. But from unbiased perspective (which is an irony) any weird reason can be made to accept such scripture. For example bible is full of love and harmony therefore one accepts is as a true scripture.i know commentators will put their reasons but all of them have been shaped by the quran. In the end there is no unbiased perspective. It's for Allah subhanawatala to give guidance to whom He wills. But the west has painted its picture of enlightenment that deluded many into accepting their view.

sadly he has that very generic way of viewing spirituality at that age. I too viewed things in this universalist sense up until I turned like 24-ish. That's when I knew I had to choose and Islam's truth shined like a guiding light from a watchtower. I think he will choose the easier path and probably go for what he thinks will not cause outrage. His view on faith does not seem to be individualistic as he is trying so desperately to portray it, rather he seems to be a people pleaser. I think it's his nature (sadly) and so he will likely pick Christianity since it is the easier to digest faith in our Western society.
