Imani Waweru performed “If A Tree Falls in The Woods" at The Bronx Defenders Gala on October 30, 2024. Imani, a Supervising Attorney in BxD’s Criminal Defense Practice, spoke powerfully about the need to rethink the purpose and approach we take to the criminal legal system, rather than continuously trying to reform a system that does not and has never worked for us.
