If memory serves Ernie is the newest addition to your critter tribe. He seems to be very sensitive so his concern had to be deeply felt. He appeared to be standing watch. Your furbabies have a very special bond with one another and with you and your wife. You provide them with peace-of-mind, love, safety, security, food, medical care, protection - you enable them to survive and thrive. In my mind that makes both of you awesome.

Thankfully all was well! I thought poor Ernie was going to have a breakdown. In all of my years of the farming life and, of all the homesteads/farms I follow here, Ima Survivor Sanctuary is the #1 most uplifting, laugh inducing, amazing ?$&@ show I have experienced!!! Lester, (to steal a phrase) no greater love has a man than to cut up a church’s soccer net for his goat!!

Ernie really showed what he is all about. That he is a protector a friend and part of the family. He was for sure very worried. They all stayed together until help come. All VERY BRAVE and full of love for each other. Please add some finer netting at bottom of outer edge fencing so the littles cant get thru that.

Thank God the others alerted you to Blanch’s predicament and that you picked up on it and that Jami picked up on it as well and brought you the scissors. I was praying you didn’t have to leave her to get the scissors. She would have freaked and, well, just happy it turned out good. Also, I Loved how Laverne was standing under Shirley. Sooooo sweet! Great job saving the baby. You should maybe look to getting yourself a small pocketknife that you have with you all the time. As you know, these situations just happen with no warning and a good scout is always prepared. Stay safe and god bless xx

Ok Dad. A farmer always carries a multiblade pocket knife for just such issues. Great save though. I had a horse I raised from birth that got her back hooves in a nylon rope so horrifically that I had to put her down 😢. Please put smaller mesh fencing over the large cattle panels to prevent these types of accidents. Thank Heavens you found that baby in time.

I had a cat named Willis. Such a sweet boy. One morning I found him dead, hanging from a netting I had over a peacock pen. He had somehow got it twisted around his nose. Was one of the most horrible things I've experienced. Now I never have any nets or strings anywhere around. So glad you found her before it was too late.

Some of these comments are ridiculous. Give Lester a break! He usually does have a pocket knife on him, but like he said HE WAS GROCERY SHOPPING... he was unloading the bags into his house!! Then he noticed a goat in distress and didn’t hesitate and went to help. God, leave him alone. Blanch is fine !

Just recently found your channel so I know that this is a late comment, but putting chicken-wire or even chain-link fencing along the bottom of the pasture your goats are in would help keep the younger ones in. My family used to raise pigmy goats and we used chain-link fencing that one would use for a dog to keep the kids in so they wouldn't get into trouble.

I think you may need to put chicken wire on the bottom to keep those babies safe. The littles all trying to let you know something was wrong . Why don't you just put up net fances like simple chicken net where the baby goats are so they cant go tru? Would prevent a lot of problems and distress. That baby goat could have got strangled .

May I suggest you keep a pocket knife or fanny pack with odds and ends of tools or a multi purpose tool that has several different things necessary to do things. I was working at a car dealership and had a bunch of stuff I carried to help me get my job done etc. Love the videos thanks for sharing

as I said in one of your other videos, if you put up some particle board or latticework along the bottom of your fencing, they can't get through it. Obviously with the chicks latticework will not keep them in, but, some thin wood along the bottom of your fencing will keep your chicks in their yard, also
