What’s the Point? 1. You pick Khushdil out of nowhere for ODI format based on his performance in an entirely different format (T20), that too in league cricket. You play him as your fifth bowler?? Seriously?? A bowler who averages 94 and strikes every 81 balls?? And he bowls almost a full quota of 10 overs?? What a remarkable Brain Fade by the Pakistani Team Management. 2. As we all know Pakistan Team is not a product of meticulous systems put in place, our team relies on individual performances to carry them home, there is no method, no plan whatsoever. Therefore, when your match winners Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen perform badly, this team will simply lose every time, that’s a given, Salman Ali Agha or Tayab Tahir or others are just support act, none of them is capable of winning the match on its own. Fakhar our other match winner needed support from our other stars i.e. Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen. Babar, Shaheen and Rizwan share the biggest blame for this pathetic performance. 3. Its better to play Saud Shakeel in place of Kamran Ghulam. On these pitches, we need batsman like Saud. If he plays, let him open and keep your best ODI batsman at three where he has an impeccable record. 4. I don’t get it why it is such a rocket science so hard to understand that why go with make shift openers when you have Imam? Fakhar, Imam, Babar can be a solid top three with Rizwan at 4, Saud at 5 and rest Salman, Shaheen, Naseem, Abrar, Harris, Sufyan in the respective order. This give solid top three, a good middle order led by Saud and then 5 specialist bowlers and Salman Ali as 6th bowler. If I, an ordinary fan can work out this why can’t our highly experienced selectors and team management understand it? 5.
