These farms can definitely be useful, but they're not always reliable & require a lot of set up. Plus, they can get damaged. The easiest & most efficient way I've seen ppl farm food in Grounded is to use gas arrows on the Gnats that swarm the garden lights at night tbh - a single gas arrow can knock down 10 Gnats at once.

What I did was made a round platform with ramps along edges right underneath the two lamps closest to the oak tree.. you can either use the fire staff (later in the game) for instant roasts or just use a salty/spicy weapon and pick them off one by one. They will all fall onto the platform and roll towards the center if they hit the ramps. Can get about 60 of gnat meat per run 👌
