I remember watching Paprika when it came out and trying to make logical sense of the things people said when they had their minds usurped by the dream apparatus. About a year ago I saw her again and I didn't pay any attention to it. I'm already 44 years old and I thought about what differences there are with the stages of life. As adults, we are becoming more densified over the decades in the field. Maybe I have a way of functioning that I always have one foot firmly anchored to the Earth and the other foot on a cloud trying to find not only the logical sense, but also the deepest meaning.

2006 really seemed to be the death of animation, at least for me. Paprika and Ergo Proxy were both released in 2006. Everything after this was just kind of bland.
