we definitely know from Coryxkenshin that KZbin has a habit of sabotaging channels. Yourrage & others stated the same, so it’s easy to see how he was blacklisted back then. The difference now is that content creators had vocal fan bases, so when people are blacklisted, banned, or given a strike unfairly, the fan bases would now attack the platform to support the content creator, such as Kai, Rage, Cory, Berleezy, etc.

I think the main point is that they didn't add much or not enough to the vids back in the day. Pewdiepie's reactions now actually adds something, Dontai's reactions have always added something that is the difference between now and back in the day. what sets apart reactors like dontai from reactors like jinx is that what people were criticizing was that he didn't really "react" he just watched the video. Now I didn't watch jinx, but from what it seemed at the time, that was the case. Maybe he did react and say things in certain videos and just not those ones. I think reactors now are doing it better than before. Not all of them. I mean you have the reactors that go on stream and just say nothing of value, never pause, and basically go to sleep or lala land while watching 20 videos in a row before ending stream. But then there are the good reactors that actually say things of value and pause and go on long monologues about shit. This isn't a plug (and I wont link anything), but I also react and even though I am just starting out I feel as though I put more effort into my reactions than most in my specific react niche. I don't overreact, but I also don't say nothing. In fact just like how I am rambling in this comment, I do that in reactions too. Talking about tons of stuff. Of course, relating to what I just watched. I even add a bit of editing to spice it up a lil. The thing is... most do not do this. I respect the ones that can actually bring value to the og vid. Who actually put effort and care into the reactions they make. cuz there are deff a lot that still just sit there and say absolutely nothing and get views for it. don't know why man. I usually click off quick if they start the video and then depending on the length, they get to about 15% of the video or so and have said nothing. so ye. some reactors are good, but that is proib why jinx lost viewers long term. cuz his videos were just not that good.

objectively speaking grade was right dawg😭😭i was watching jinx before even watching dontai n i still appreciate the nigga, but the criticism are still valid…n grade can still drop a video n pull over 700-800k with ease😭😭the nigga also a OG commentary channel who talks about more than juss other ytbers, there’s obvious bias tho esp since jinx arguably was one of the most prominent black figures. 🤷🏽‍♂️ grade also got depression because of family deaths and external problems outside of youtube, lowkey was messed up to juss assume it was bound to happen bc he doesnt like the same content u do n somehow tht shows why he shouldn’t b just criticizing other channels. Its youtube n evb has the right to give opinion, hence the purpose of comment sections.
