Exactly there is certain things that they do though such as drugs, women, alcohol, etc.. that “takes their soul” in a way that’s why when you see certain rappers or celebrities they look empty. No, Malcolm you're wrong. It has a long history but the common root in the modern day comes from the novel "Faust". When it comes to musicians, Paganini was believed to have sold his soul for his ability and the same for Robert Johnson. This isn't chicken and egg.

It’s 50/50. The Faustian Bargain is the story that it comes from. Some people literally do blood contracts and prick themselves but you’re correct that most people of today sell their souls by going against what they believe in just for a little money and fame.

Crossing dressing in movies has been around forever, it’s only bad when it’s relied on for a cheap joke~ it’s the same as a bad script. Westley Snipes for example was in Too Wong Foo which is about drag models, and holds a lot of cultural value to certain groups. All three leads wanted todo the role because they knew it would break norms more than for laughs. Big Momma and similar movies rely on the cross dressing “shock” factor in order for you to find the movie “funny”. It’s cheap and lazy which is why it’s bad

Honestly, someone should tell these people fear mongering over dudes in dresses on who exactly played the female roles in Shakespeare plays back in Shakespeare's times. It was men who played both the male and female roles. It's literally older than Shakespeare, from both a in-universe and meta sense.
@LesserKnownAXA

@@SozioTheRogue yeah it comes from us as a people not wanting to be looked down on. Also being “turned gay” was a threat in the black community, to the point it was widely accepted that if you go to jail you may come out gay. So straight black men have this super strong aversion to being called something they aren’t more so than other groups. Stupid stuff really, but that’s deff where this whole string of thought comes from

It is possible to read 8 books a day if they’re shorter book. There are reasonable 20-50 page books that could be read fairly quickly. An intelligent child reading all day could get through 8 books. It’s highly unlikely but not impossible. I think people mishear the number & assume it’s impossible without really thinking about it.
@godpop
@godpop 25 күн бұрын
yeah but finding 8 books a day without online access would take alot of money to do considering he did this as a kid (which were his words). This is irrelevant to begin with though, no idea why he mentioned him saying that.

@@dime1012 Tens of thousands situated in one library? That amount 40 years ago? In the time frame he said? I read the entire Harry Potter series in elementary school and even though they aren’t non fiction, its not that hard to believe a child especially BACK THEN had books lying around and read 8 of em in the span of a year which is pretty a long time to have to finish 8 books depending on their length and the depth of the writing. He probably did read the encyclopedia and read 8 short nonfiction books. Pretty doable and its not like he said he FULLY COMPREHENDED what was written. Just that he read them.

I'm not convinced the joke thieving was fully intentional. If you go over a multi-year career alongside several other comedians, it shouldn't be surprising when you hear something funny, forget about it for a couple years/shows, suddenly think of it as a joke (not realizing you thought of it subconsciously because you heard it before), and then add it to your set without realizing you just ripped someone's material. It seems to me Kat Williams is a really distrusting person who's been burned before by insiders and now thinks everyone operates in the same snake-like fashion. I'm sure there are some people who honestly ripped him off, and probably some people who he rightly accuses of weird behavior, but I don't think it's as widespread as he makes it out to be.

The dress discussion Is odd to me no one cares the only people who are pressed are the ones who are invested in it. No one on the other side is making an argument because they are normal people not doing conspiracy theories. No one’s telling you to accept anything they’re saying it’s just a comedy movie where a dude is wearing a dress… that’s it.

The dress thing is a non issue, there’s so much evidence to it not even being a real thing it’s actually embarassing that so many people in our culture even give it merit.

And Dontai nobody is going to do research on all of the people involved. Just pay attention to the lyrics, how they act and what is shown. I still listen to them but I don’t care for the person.

You could maybe make the argument that other actors were well established before their dress moment. It wasn't part of their breakout role.
