Can a vibration degrade hydraulic fluid So that the pressure is much less within just 4 hours?

The question asks whether vibration will cause a hydraulic fluid to degrade and as it changes its condition with a pressure reduction over four hours. For its pressure to drop it would suggest that the sg of the liquid changes. Generally, vibration may have an influence on a non Newtonian liquid, because there maybe a change in shear energy applied to the fluid and cause a change in viscosity of the liquid. Vibration, in principle, should not impact on a Newtonian liquid (generally moved by rotodynamic pumps). The general definition of hydraulic fluid is a non Newtonian liquid, it may even exhibit laminer characteristics (depending upon is viscosity and component structure). Therefore, depending upon the liquid construction there is a potential that excessive vibration could induce a shear stress into the liquid. However, it may also just be a thixotropic liquid that would exhibit a change under normal operation, and if it contained compounds with elastic properties.
