My child is mac spoofing on his desktop to get around the wifi blocking app we use. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks.

Yes, you can prevent MAC spoofing by using a technology that can restrict access to the network based on the device's Media Access Control (MAC) address. Here are a few ways to do this: Use a Wi-Fi Router with MAC Filtering: Most Wi-Fi routers have the option to configure MAC filtering. This allows you to specify which devices are allowed to connect to your network based on their MAC address. Configure Network Access Control (NAC): NAC is a technology that restricts network access based on device authentication and posture assessment. This can prevent MAC spoofing by requiring each device to prove its identity and security status before it is granted network access. Implement a VPN: A Virtual Private Network (VPN) can encrypt all of your internet traffic and provide an extra layer of security against MAC spoofing. By requiring devices to connect to the VPN before accessing the internet, you can ensure that all devices are using a consistent and verifiable MAC address. It's important to keep in mind that these methods may not be foolproof, and a determined attacker may still be able to bypass them. However, using a combination of these methods can make it much more difficult for someone to perform MAC spoofing on your network.
