A few months ago i went to the traditional market with my dad, when we were about to go home, there was this man shouting about cheap turtles for soup. We were curious so we approached him and we saw 20 turtles in a sack, alive. My dad was so shocked and immediately told me "we have to free those turtles!" so he bought all the turtles for $32. Long story short we brought the turtles home and put them in a big plastic basin. We had to wait for a few days because we wanted to find the best-hidden place to free them. I fed them veggies every day, but they were so shy they didn't even want to come near me. But then i played this chant of metta and they started coming and finally ate those veggies i gave them! I was so happy because they could feel metta before being freed! :) Sabbe satta sukhi hontu May all beings be happy Sabbe satta avera hontu May all beings be free from enmity and danger Sadhu.. sadhu.. sadhu..🙏

Welcome a stray kitten into my home in the PM if home or early evening and feed her too. Pinoys dislike dogs and cats because unlike chickens, we can not eat them.
