This is really useful for someone like me. I use my iPhone as a webcam so this will allow me to be able to still have access to texting while I’m on a zoom call. But yeah, I think for most people it’s not really a big thing.

Currently I am using the Intel Unison app, which I find works really good from my iphone! Also I have noticed that my phone does not have to be near my pc for it to work properly!

I am using Unison as well but noticed that after an update, Unison has converted Messages to a pop-up style rather than filling the entire app panel as well as the history does not save, even if the app stays open. Has this happened on your system as well?

Kind of deceptive to say iMessage is coming to Windows when it's built on old stuff that has already worked, like the Dell phone connect application. Apple isn't building an iMessage client for Windows.

i think a part of the issue may be that your phone is unlocked and open to the app youre using. The notification is not always having enough time to sync with the pc. If your phone was locked and by your PC, the pc would have more time to grab the notification.

You may be having bluetooth issues due to the XR possibly having an older bluetooth receiver and protocol. Another theory could be that your particular windows device (not all since PC's are very modular) may not perform well sending and receiving signals from older devices. Either way I'm going to extensively test this out on my laptop and desktop with my 14 Pro Max to see if I can find anything else not presented in the video.

For the people who said Apple allowed this, well yes and no. Apple allows it because of certain cars (cough cough, Tesla, older Toyotas, cough cough) that won't support CarPlay. This way these cars can still access text messages. The Windows 11 setup is literally using the same protocol the cars are, called Message Access Protocol.

One quality of life problem with Windows is the the lack of browser autofill for one time passwords when logging into websites. It’s been on Mac for years and I have no idea why Microsoft haven’t implemented it on Edge via this app, at least for Android phones.

FYI: Firefox (and probably Chrome) have this functionality. Edge is for people that don't know how to use a computer. Hope this helps!

Hi Aaron Great feature. I am using windows 11 on my pc. I discovered Apple Music App on pc after installing latest windows update which means that Apple Music is also coming in windows 11 in next major update. The functionality of iMessage to windows & reverse is very nice . It will much more refined in next update of iOS & Windows. Only thing we want that iMessage should pair immediately via Bluetooth after linking iPhone with windows and no separate app should be needed for this feature. Thank you for your informative video.

I don't have a personal Windows machine - just my work laptop. I do enjoy having BlueBubble on my Galaxy Fold 4, though... it brings an almost identical iMessage experience to my Android phone. It's a bit more work to setup than this Windows option, though.

Have been using link to windows since the days when SAMsung phones need to have the app downloaded to use. May be since note9. Later on samsung embeded the feature within ONE UI. Good to see the feature coming for iphones. May be this is d gateway for customers switching to different platforms in future.

This is merely a workaround. It uses bluetooth device permissions such as the one for cars rather than a true iMessage on Windows. Apple is not collaborating on this nor is supporting it.

It is not going through because you have the conversion open on the phone. Since then the iphone doesn't actually generate a notification for that... Maybe they will manage to sync all messages in the future not only based on notifications

I find that messages on my iPhone are 💯 but Messages on my MacBook Pro often misses the conversation and so the conversation is missing entries. Looks like Windows is better in that at least it can be prodded to sync. 7:11 Nice review‼️ 7:11

Link to windows has been around a while. Very basic. With Android I had the same issues as well as duel messages on my phone. I'll stick to my Mac thanks.

@zollotech I know. Until last year, I'd been strictly windows and android. I used it then, but the above-mentioned bugs never got fixed. And, yes I had to have my phone about a foot from my laptop for it to work consistently. If three haven't resolved the bugs. They should have before adding support for iios. But, I do hope they fix it.
