That is because people looking at Max, due to the title and movie type. Miller stated in a interview, when he saw the road warrior as a finished project, he was paying close attention to the Warrior chick, and stated for the first time it hit him, she could make a very important companion. He realized during his story making and directing, he missed a opportunity to place this character in Max's life sort of speak. This was how Furiosa came about. And he thought of putting the two together. If you take notice, the two in Fury Road, you can see they have interest in each other, but also attempt to ignore that. According to Miller, he is looking at tying the two together, and thought it was important that her story be told also, before continuing, which is why this movie was made. That is what he stated, of course, what he says is on thing, what he will do maybe another. He never made that part clear. he was focused on Fury road and making a connection to pair Max up with her so she is not jumping out of no where with skills and fight for nothing.

Really felt like this would've been even better as a miniseries where you see the 40 day war play out. While I do actually like how they made the climatic stakes "small" and personal at the end, turning it into a straight revenge trek (which makes it remind me the most of the first Max Max actually), it would've also been cool if we ALSO got the huge climatic big war scenes before that. Granted, that would turn the movie incredibly long (and also expensive I understand) but that's why I say, it would've been awesome as some 6-8 episode miniseries.

How was Fury Road the better movie? I have no idea why people are so obsessed with that movie. It was obnoxious, had shitty special effects, no deep plot, so many things went unexplained, there were nonsensical things in the movie like the war boys and the spraying themselves with spray paint before sacrificing themselves, and the night scenes looked corny as hell. They weren't even filmed at night. They filmed it in the daytime and literally just put a filter on the footage and made it blue.

He's said he won't be directing any more wasteland films, but he'd be happy to produce "Mad Max: The Wastelands". He said they also have a rough outline for another Max script that they might turn into a novel instead, which I think is a GREAT idea.

I didnt think i was doing to like Furiosa but i did enjoy it. Out of 10 i gave it an 8. My ratings out of 10 for the franchise are Mad Max - 10, Mad Max The Road Warrior - 10, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome 5 was a bit too cheesy for me, Mad Max Fury Road - 10.
