When Trump was first elected, I lost any faith or security I had in my Christian homeschool circle, my only community. Except for a few of my friends, my world went crazy and told me I didn't belong there unless I changed myself. People tried to gaslight me into believing they could love me and I was safe when I knew that couldn't be true. It took me a long time to find a place to belong. Now that I'm in real community, here online and in my local area, I'll be damned if I let anything happen to it. I was a queer kid in crisis for years, and while I kind of still am, it's obviously time to focus on the people who need me. We'll get through this by standing together, asking for help when we need it, and looking out for each other. Every small way we can take care of each other is an act of resistance, and it does add up.

This season has really brought like to the fading punk aesthetic of Dragula. My most hated critique is “it needs to be more elevated, more polished”… it literally means “spend more money”. Dragula started as a celebration of diverse drag and it supported creators who built their own drag grom the ground up, and I feel that they’ve been penalizing contestants more and more for what amounts to issues of money or resource. The first time it really stood out go me was with Maxi Glamour’s “Miss Cardboard 20whatever” thing, and this season has just btought it to the front over and over.

I think the Boulets usually wear the mesh white contacts, those you can see pretty normally in, but I'm guessing they gave Grey the fully whiteout contacts. I tried to wear some years back for Halloween and you really can't see almost anything. If he was wearing those kind the whole time and put that costume together, he's some kind of superhuman.

In 2016 I felt devastated, so this time I was just angry. I'm in a weird spot, because I can see the need for our country to stop being so divisive. There has to be some way we can come back to a point of understanding with people who have different views than us. But, at the same time, when I see people go out of their way to be hateful its hard to sympathize with them or even want to understand them. I agree with Alexis that we just need to wait and look out for ourselves and each other. At the end of the day that was the main goal of anyone who voted, look out for themselves and those they care about. Unfortunately, it just didn't go in our favor and people don't care about some of us as much as we thought they did. We can't change the outcome. However, we have a strong community that will get through the next 4 years together and we will stand up for those who need it.

Just a heads up for anyone who experiences POTS symptoms, many people have developed POTS as a result of COVID, and the symptoms can worsen with reinfection, so be mindful of that and be safe! Imperfect precautions (masking while traveling / in healthcare settings if you're not able to mask all the time, increasing ventilation indoors, updated vaccines, testing before gathering, etc.) are better than no precautions, and the less times you have COVID the less chance you have of developing Long COVID (which POTS falls under the category of)

You have Halloween, we have Sint Maarten (always the 11th of 11th), then the children sing a song and we give them candy. However, with us the children have become good (I always let them choose what they want) they did not take any candy/chocolate. They chose the small bags of chips, tangerine or banana. The terrible thing is that there are two bags of chocolate/candy beckoning and tempting me, the bags call to me, take me, take me, I am so delicious, but I do not do it. No, I just don't!

I don’t think you should lose faith in the the voters. Most ppl are not plugged into the news and what’s going on with trump. That can be seen by the way ppl can’t recall details of Trump and and his actions throughout the years. I mean a lot of ppl voted a split ticket. They voted for trump but also elected democratic senators . Some ppl voted to re-elect AOC but also Trump. Ppl are just voting in reaction to their environment and right now it’s unaffordable housing, college debt, high prices .
