I just saw this for the first time. What a wonderful song. I was waiting to see Benny Hill in one of the costumes singing one of his spoof songs, but this was great!

This was a rare instance where Benny did not make a parody of an act. Apprently, Benny saw them perform while he was travelling on vacation, and was soi impressed with them that he invited them to perform on his show.

Benny used to like to travel to Spain and France. While in Spain he saw Los Zafiros play and asked them to play on his show. Not to be confused with the Cuban band by the same name.

I saw a video of Los Zafiros with englishman Davy Jones of the Monkees.. so they may have been touring England when this was done.

Used to these very well, my mum used to baby-sit for Ricardo, the guy on the left when I was very young, Carlos and Pepi, where the others.

That’s pretty interesting. I never heard of this song or these guys before I saw this on tv a couple of months ago.

What is that CLICK sound that they do a few times? It seems to happen when they touch the top of their guitars, but I don't see how that touch would create that sound.

When I first heard this I thought they were rapping their rings on the guitars, but when I noticed they weren't wearing rings, I began to think they were scraping their knuckles or their fingernails on the top of their guitars.. But it's a great rhythmic touch..

In the 60’s there were two Los Zafiros, one Cuban and one Spanish. This is the Spanish one which is more obscure
