I hope you see this. Make sure your vanos is working on your engine, as it will not have any low-mid end torque. Gut the interior as much as possible as the weight reduction really helps for underpowered cars. And the last but not least, try putting lower profile tyres on the back, such as 205 45 16's. Drifting 323ci myself.

@PenaxxeMc2 жыл бұрын
go all out with this car. Take everything out of the back down to bare metal. weld one bar in between rear door pillars to stiffen the chassis. Empty the spare tire boot, if possible cut the boot off and weld it flat. That will get a lot of weight off the car. Shit ton of pressure to the rear tires, lower pressure on front. Adjust the rear suspension to be really stiff so you don't grip up too much and u get less tirehop which will safe you axels and diffs. I've had plenty of e46's, Amazing cars but the touring is especially different. Its really easy to give it too much angle since the angle feels mellow when you are the driver. A touring should be really hard to spin out due to the longer wheelbase. And also, if you want to lighten the chassis more, cut off the insides of the doors and trunkdoor/tailgate or whatever it is in english.
@B3MMi2 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "the longer wheelbase"? What are you comparing it to?
@PenaxxeMc2 жыл бұрын
to most sedans, not just only bmws. the difference isn't that much between the e46 chassis, but you still feel them. Extra centimeters in wheelbase lenght + more weight in rear is totally different to drive, compared to a normal e46 sedan

Hey Joel, it felt like your front tires were underperforming compared to the rear ones causing the understeer. Try on some decent rubber to the front and use some less sticky on the back (maybe swap over whatever you have on). You can try some cheaper semi-slicks on the front and some smaller size tires to burn. No need for power just reduce back grip :)

More air on the back, less on the front, more clutch kicks to hold the angle where you want it
@tkdrifts21332 жыл бұрын
So because ur car is so underpowered u have to throw a lot of clutch kicks in like when u start to feel the front end grip up throw a clutch kick in. Or when u feel the car start losing power in drift throw a clutch kick in. Also the reason why you car feels better now that u have added camber is because your right your lead wheel is flatter on the ground.
@CJdriftZ2 жыл бұрын
Once you added front camber understeer probably got worse, I would have aired the front down a bit so it would have more steer in response. With the camber up front that will make you under steer more, but you are on point as it does give you more grip at angle. Also try to toe out the front a bit to help with lead wheel angle and double check toe out back, you shouldn't have any with this car as it doesn't have enough power.
