I did the train research the whole way as early as possible and its been great since. Getting a wasp on day 1 was super awesome and plugs up wholes quickly. 500 gold per day is also super eco. By the time you're ready to build a barracks you have enough iron without mining to support a mini army.

Pretty sure the wasp is the only tower allowed in the swarm missions, but your intuition is right, Lucifer on these missions 10/10

There are quite a few maps that in 800% turn into hell, this is one of them. Wave comes waaaaaay earlier, i think its like day 42 ish, and they are so much it hurts to watch them come closer. Worst part is that in the first run i did, i didnt correctly defend the part where there are rocks and the train track is in the middle of it (Because it is hard to build there) an 70% of the bottom wave went STRAIGHT to that point. Imagine seeing every other side defend while that small gap failed and you panic and start selling stuff then you cant defend correctly because of the damn TRAIN ROAD AGAIN and you fail, it hurts... a LOT ; - ;

You should read those newspapers located above the bottom right bar where the Empire Points are located. It would give you the sense of scale of what the New Empire needs to deal with in regards for reclaiming the world for humankind.

Train tech almost OP, soldier center super early, no stone required and with iron transport soldiers early as well.

1. Ballista is not available in swarm missions. 2. You completed too many colony missions before cleaning swarm missions, so you have so many imperial points, that this swarm missions are just too easy. 3. Even at 800% difficulty the swarm missions are just too easy and boring. You only need to go and drink some tea, while your forces are handling the infected. 4.Inn is a good building, but according to the game logic it is not supposed to be used before the 3-4 star missions. Just because the maps are small and you just don't have enough time. 5.Sniper tech and later on lucifer tech is much more crucial for swarm missions then all other combined. 6. Read newspapers finally. 7. I recommend to unlock snipers before noxious swamp, but you can also suffer, i think the audience will enjoy. :)

Your Inn strat is good for colonies mission but for swarm .... not really in fact its terrible. for those mission I had lucifer, its a freaking joke, they could send 1 billions runner, wont do a thing.

"lots of swarms to deal with" Wasps make very short work of the swarms. Just place the wasps in strategic places, walk away and make a grilled cheese sandwich, come back and play the next mission.

I tried it once and failed. Then I just decided to spam soldiers around the tower and it was an easy victory. Later I added snipers on the inner rings. Not a single loss using that strategy and I'm no 65% through the campaign.

I've done it. With enough empire points - so you have enough left over for soldiers - it works very well

Donno about the venom one. But solder ball counters runner pretty well. Set 800%, cluster a ball, leave the room, then come back for the victory notification. lol

I remember having the cloest game ever on those 1 wave maps. literally completely overun, soldiers huddled around the command centre against a huge horde. any other point and id just quite there but.... i pulled it off. Literally the best feeling ever. Also that final defend the outpost was so hard to watch. if he'd of just moved his soldiers ;w;

Shocking a ballista towers can NOT be used in swarm missions however spike trips (and likely wire fence traps) can. They were amazing early game but had little use after I got Lucifers

Yeah the Lonely Forest I was able to do it on my first go but I had shock towers and even those weren’t enough without scrambling all my soldiers all over the colony. Literally has to pull soldiers like I was playing a swarm mission.

Wasps are actually the only type of tower you can use in swarm missions. Which is really weird, but I guess they wanted to push people into using them.

You should abuse wasp more in the swarm missions xD Then Lucy once unlocked. Wasp can fire over each other so stack rows of them and your gochi add some walls so the dont tank the swarm too much

For the road missions, just swarm soldiers directly on top of the tower and they all cover each other - easy mode.

when i got problem with the swarm in early game.... i leave all the swarm and go for other mission to get enough points until Lucifer.... then those Swarm are a joke to Lucifer even at 800% difficulty...lol

kibitz look i no u may all ready no this and i understand that u want to mix it up a little but trust me the best way to deal with the tower defense swarm missions is to just make a as many gun troops as possible but ya am sure u no that lmao - hell u can even try useing pure wasp's to see how really good thay are and in the skill tree u can upgrade The lookout tower in attack missions - BTW - LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN AND YOUR QUITE FUNNY ASWELL KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

I really don't get why Kibitz doesn't simply seal off all the pathways to the outpost with wood barriers. There's no reason to leave these wide open gaps for zombies to run through and force the soldiers to be meat shields.

The hero missions are worse. They introduce a ton of mechanics then never use any of them for anything interesting. It's not a puzzle so much as it's a boring sweep and clear mixed with pixel searching to find containers with research points.
