Even though I have a scuba diving license, I've also always been afraid of the ocean. I think more preserved shipwrecks seem less terrifying; to me, it's because they don't have all that deep sea clutter consuming and creating contorted shapes out of wrecks.

@officialaoj8951
@officialaoj8951 2 жыл бұрын
While it definitely holds plenty of untold stories, it certainly can't compare to space. It's hard for any human to actually comprehend the size of our expanding universe due to its size. Our ocean is indescribably tiny, tiny, tiny compared to space. The observable universe spans some 28 billion light-years (93 billion light-years in diameter, as it is still expanding). It is home to about 10-billion superclusters (like the Virgo Supercluster). It has an estimated 350-billion large galaxies (like the Milky way). It houses about 30-billion-trillion stars; that is 30,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars! The Earth is about 3.5 million times larger than a human. The Solar System is about 36 billion times larger than Earth (3.6 X 10^10). The Local Group is 5 million times larger than the Solar System (1.4 X 10^17 times larger than Earth) The Virgo Supercluster is 11 times larger than the Local Group (1.5 X 10^18 times larger than Earth The Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex is 12 times larger than the Virgo Supercluster (1.9 X 10^21 times larger than Earth) And Finally, the Observable Universe is 10 times larger than the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex (1.9 X 10^22 times larger than Earth) In summary, the ocean is ridiculously small.

@@rmh3856 unless of course there is a wormhole somewhere in the ocean. Or some kind Of portal, and that portal leads to an alternate universe. Then it might actually have more untold stories than space, given that it contains its own universe.

Brilliant! They say it was found in Poole Bay and show a shot of Swanage Bay which is just around the coast from Poole Bay/Harbour. Then the next shot is of Sandbanks, one of the most wealthiest piece's of land in the UK! That is part of Poole Bay though!. There's been plenty of activity around Poole Harbour over the centuries. I was on an archaeological dig on the west side of the bay and that was Iron Age.

If it's in great condition after all that time why does it suddenly need protection? Probably so anything of real value can be recovered and the wealth distributed properly among the rich and powerful? Don't forget to turn your heating down!!!!😠

Had a static caravan at a holiday park at top of Poole Harbour until a few years ago. Still go down there at least once a year to visit friends. Did a lot of swimming and fishing in the area

The worst thing you can do for a shipwreck is tell people where to find it. Hope they got all the answers they wanted, won’t be long before humans come to pillage and ruin it

It's just curious that humans haven't scanned the sea bed yet. I mean surely we have the technology?

we have the technology to scan the seabed yes, but not in extreme detail and it is a much more local thing, would take forever to scan the entire seabed
