hello, thanks for the lovely content. About placing the rubber dam, I usually find that while its easy to place the rubber dam at the prep stage because we still have the contacts intact to hold the dam in and floss through, but at the fit stage we have lost the contacts and i find it challenging to place the dam as it wants to roll up the tooth and does not seat, do you have any tips for this?

yes! I have a video showing this struggle and how I overcome it. Thanks for inspiring the content. Essentially you need a stream of air from 3in1 from your assistant - then, you will use a fine instrument to encourage the dam to 'invert' in to the sulcus

Hi Jaz , thank you so much for your tip about the rubber dam. It was so easy to do get the dam to seat once i followed what you suggested. So much less stress, i can't thank you enough for these great tips, takes the stress from dentistry out so much > could you please suggest a good intar oral camera? i have the Kodak one right now but its a pain to get it to focus and by the time its focussed its foggy because it took so long n the mouth..@@protrusive

Another great video Just to add my thoughts Personally and anecdotally I found IDS to be such a faff and off no benefit to me personally. A technique I was taught a couple of years ago is after the impression to scrub Gluma in and watch the dentine soak it up and apply the the second bottle - the adhesive of optibond Fl2. This creates a weak bond and your temporary sticks like a dream . Seems to work for me and get no sensitivity. I don’t think this is a evidence based supported workflow but I’m sure lots or Dentists do it
