Snap released an investor presentation this week providing information about their AR tools used by advertisers, creators, and users to enhance the shopping and interactive experience on Snapchat.
It highlights Snap's advancements, including the launch of an AI powered AR Lens
and new advertising options.
CEO Evan Spiegel said something interesting.
“We have never worked on anything as profound and meaningful as augmented reality.”

Basemark, a Finnish company providing in-car AR software solutions, announced they had secured funding to make more XR applications and advanced AR displays.
The funding, contributed by investors including ETF Partners and Finnish Industry Investment, will enable Basemark to expand its operations in Europe and the U.S.,
Here is a quote from the investor:
“In the future, as autonomous cars become the norm, we expect a significant decrease in the total number of vehicles on the road, with the majority being electric. This shift will result in a substantial reduction of emissions. Augmented reality is key to this transformation.”
Now that’s something to celebrate!

Corewell Health in Michigan broke new ground recently using virtual and augmented reality to let patients "tour" their own brains and help physicians in surgical planning.
This innovative approach transforms 2D MRI and CT scans into immersive 360° 3D images, allowing patients and their families to explore brain structures
up close during consultations.

As for us here at Immersal, we had another fun month.
As usual we were active with events: we attended and spoke at a HoloLabs Partner Event in Tokyo.
We were at Hannover Messe showcasing how our technology can be used in manufacturing.
And we attended the Finnish Industrial Metaverse event in Helsinki and was pleased to learn that the Finnish government is a huge supporter of metaverse technologies.
We had another interesting collaboration with Nokia for their new Network as a Code platform -
which is intended to simplify how networks operate, and allow applications to adjust for optimal performance and user experience.
