In this episode of Artist's Books Unshelved, we look at two carefully researched and crafted artist
books that explore immigration. The featured books, “This Land: Anna's Journal of Migration &
Internment,” by Lesia Maruschak, and “Koryo Saram,” by Evgenia Kim, have crafted stories that
illuminate the experiences of their Ukranian-Canadian and Post-Soviet Korean ancestors and families, and how migration, forced incarceration, and exile impacts individuals across generations.
