I've always been fascinated with Canada, not as a land of opportunities but as a place where I could contribute as a creative. I feel too many move there with nothing to contribute while expecting a place that'll feed you and keep you happy while you only do your bare minimum. When the time comes where my endeavours are developed enough to take it to the international stage, Canada is my first priority.

I think its the opposite. Canada has always had very poor wages and very few opportunities in many professions. Being creative is one thing, but you can be creative anywhere, anywhere warmer is pretty nice.

Halifax is the largest city in the Maritimes, so it's a regional hub. The transit out there is not as good as in some bigger cities, but if you're staying within the metro area I believe it's okay. Living expenses in Nova Scotia are significantly cheaper than elsewhere in the country, though Halifax would be the most expensive city in that province. Most provinces and some municipalities have a public support system for new immigrants, which can help with jobs and the like. If English is your first language, there would be far more options for that.

Thank you for the information. I plan to migrate to BC, but I've been getting much discouragement on how expensive it is there. What do you think? Is it that difficult to live there?
@immigroup4 жыл бұрын
The cost of living in BC really depends upon where: Vancouver and Victoria are extremely expensive, two of the most expensive cities in the country, but there are other parts of the province where the housing costs are at least lower. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_British_Columbia I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that the closer you are to Vancouver, the more expensive your housing will be. On the other hand, the further away from Vancouver the more expensive other things may be (such as groceries, unless the food is local).

@@immigroup Yes !!! I grew up in New Brunswick and left at 19, New Brunswick is a very small population , although it is beautiful and scenic the winters can be insanely brutal . Our services businesses are minimal due to our dwindling population and small tax pool, I enjoyed Edmonton due to its sense of community, diversity and range of things to do . In a city like edmonton you have to choose what you want to do out of hundred of options, in New Brunswick it is rare that more than one community event is happening , Edmonton had a great blend of both parks and metropolis , New Brunswick is great for families and retirees, Edmonton would be awesome for someone young or someone who likes to go on adventures. New Brunswick also has an older population that sometimes doesn't receive immigrants as warm as we would hope, the older folks here don't have much experience with different culture and can seem white washed . all in all , they both can be great places, it would be stupid for me to say one is bad when they both have wonderful qualities. In my opinion it is the best place to live in Canada. And I grew up here and hated it when I grew up, so I hope you can take my opinion seriously. It is also either the most expensive city in the country or the 2nd most, which is a huge drawback for many people. (And would be for me if I didn't like living here so much.) It: has the only major professional sports teams in basketball and baseball, plus professional sports teams in hockey, soccer and Canada's football league; has one of the world's great film festivals; has the best food scene in the country (even Americans now come to Toronto for the food, which is something that still shocks me); gets American musicals before other Canadian markets (and used to get American films before other Canadian markets, though this happens less than it used to); has a very good opera company; gets bands very few other cities in Canada get (and often no other cities); has major Ontario museums and art galleries; has hundreds of distinct neighbourhoods; has tons of greenspace outside of the downtown. There are probably lots of other things I like, but that's what comes to mind first. The cons: it is extremely expensive in terms of cost of living (specifically rent, as food prices are actually better than many cities in Canada); it is very large and can be a pain to get around especially if you work far from where you live (there's too much traffic, our transit system is falling apart); some people find people here unfriendly though I think that is true of large cities in general; some Torontonians, particularly those who have lived here a long time (like me!) can be a little "Centre of the Universe" about the city, thinking because it's in Toronto it must be special or better than the same thing somewhere else; the city has done a pretty terrible job at preserving its old buildings and the majority of them (though not all) have been replaced by newer buildings, meaning the city looks a lot newer than its age (200 ish years). Hope that helps.
@immigroup4 жыл бұрын
Oh, one other thing: I said I hated it when I was a kid. This is what changed: a) I dreamed of living in a small town. I did. I realized cities are better. b) I have since traveled across Canada: I've been to every province in the country at least once and been to most of the major cities in Canada, Toronto is mostly better than all of them in my opinion (though nothing is black and white) c) Toronto has changed a lot in 30+ years: it is now a lot closer to a place like New York (though it's hardly New York) than it was when I was a child and it was "Toronto the Good" (aka boring).

Only MAYBE in Montreal and some of the surrounding communities or if you live in Quebec but work in Ontario (say if you live in Gatineau-Hull or something). There are jobs here as there is a labour shortage so wages have climbed faster here than elsewhere, mainly because they were always lower than elsewhere, I'm not going to lie to you. Sadly the cities in NB have pretty shitty public transit, but I"m an optimist, as more people take them, it can only improve. They are nice buses, just idiotic routes because of course the city planners never took a bus in their lives. I'm also not going to lie as there are racist pricks here like anywhere, and a homeless problem, but thats all across canada. There are numerous groups that attempt to help people settle and so if you like a 'small town feel' thats easily do able in NB. We live 20 minutes from the centre of the city but essentially are rural. Entrepreneurial types are welcome as one problem is that there often isn't that much to do here, but certainly for a refugee or somebody from an area where they've experienced a little TOO much excitement, its pretty ideal.

Is it possible to apply to different programs at the same time? Since we live in the coast I prefer a sunny and mild climate place so we’d like to move to BC. What city would you recommend? We’re looking for (1) very safe city (2) great schools (3) open and tolerant people for immigrants (4) good place to raise kids. I’ll appreciate your comments!

Personally Montreal should be on 1st spot. 55.3% billingual. Cost of living low comparing to all the cities mentioned in this video. Meaning new immigrants will have an easy life. The average cost of living is 21% higher in Toronto than in Montreal. While some services are priced relatively equally between the two cities (food and entertainment), Montreal is 38% cheaper when it comes to housing costs, and 48% cheaper when it comes to transportation
@immigroup5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The only thing I'd say is that French is handy in Montreal, and expecting new immigrants (from non-English- and non-French-speaking countries) to know three languages is a high bar. (Also, the Quebec immigration system is different and prioritizes French.) Of course, there's nothing to keep new immigrants from moving to Quebec once they have PR.

There are two ways you can think of this: where are the most total jobs or where are there more likely to be jobs? You might want to contact the provincial professional associations for your profession to see where your job is in demand. TOP 13 reasons NOT to move to Canada: 1. Canada's weather really sucks for 6 ot 7 months of the year. 2. Canada's new gender ideology has practically turned child abuse into a normal practice and freedom of speech a dangerous practice. 3. Canada restricts the choice of parents when educating their children. 4. There's too much pride for being homosexual and too much promotion of this practice. 5. Feminism in Canada is so radical that it has destroyed all normal interaction and communication between men and women. 6. Real estate and rent prices in Canada are outrageously inflated as if it were France’s Champs-Élysées, Mexico’s Polanco or New York’s Upper East Side. 7. Food prices are generally way too high. 8. There’s too much depression and loneliness in Canada. 9. Family as the unit and foundation of society is being lost at U.S. rates. 10. Taxes are unnecessarily way too high. 11. Canadian Government is often meddling in your private life an criminalizes normal human behavior like just expressing yourself freely. 12. Canada is an outrageously elitist country when it comes to immigration policies as it demands quite a curriculum for prospect immigrant permanent residents and citizenship instead of just normal humans. 13. CONTRADICTORY IMMIGRATION LAWS WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR IMMIGRANTS NOT TO EITHER BREAK THEM OR OVERSTAY. So really, Canada is way overrated, just like Baseball, Harvard University, Harley Davidson, The Mona Lisa, U2, malls, or Star Wars.
@immigroup5 жыл бұрын
My responses: 1. It obviously depends upon what kind of weather you like but I can definitely see how you might feel that way. Today, for instance, the weather where I live sucks. 2. What "gender ideology"? How has it turned child abuse normal? What does any of this have to do with freedom of speech? 3. How? There are private schools in Canada. 4. Why do you say that? 5. I talk to women every day. I have normal conversations with them. I have no idea what you are talking about. 6. This is true in Toronto and Vancouver in particular. 7. Depends upon the city, and they are worse in rural areas often. 8. How do you know? 9. I don't understand this, but then I have four parents. 10. Income or just sales? Compared to where? 11. The Canadian government rarely meddles in my life. What do you mean? 12. We try to attract skilled immigrants. I don't really get the rest of your comment. 13. That is definitely not true, but I'd be interested in hearing which laws you think are contradictory. This list is remarkably similar to one posted on this channel a few months ago. Have we met before?
@rubicunduseratiudas12645 жыл бұрын

Have you already memorized all those "personal pronouns" you're now forced to use when you speak? How about forcefully refer to a man as "she" because he has gender disphoria? ha ha ha ha... Enjoy it. 3. I rest my case. Public and private schools turn your child to the school psychologist for displaying normal child behavior and there's nothing you can do about it. 4. www.google.com/search?q=trudeau+in+gay+parade&rlz=1C1NDCM_esMX802MX802&sxsrf=ACYBGNSoICUQueHzSETlbbisZyMsjn4MKg:1571354088311&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjg5f-RtqTlAhUPXKwKHZF6CxAQ_AUIEigB&biw=1366&bih=657 5. I hope you're also getting laid with all those feminist women you talk to so they don't get outraged by a sex proposition. I doubt it though... 6. I rest my case. I knew you would agree. You neglected to mention, Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Whitehorse , Prince George and Yellowknife... 7. I rest my case. Give me the "cheapest" cities and I'll show you food is very expensive everywhere in Canada. 8. Do you mean to say that there are no suicide and depression rates for Canada everybody can look up? 9. You have four parents? I rest my case, again... 10. Income and sales. Compared to most countries. 11. The Canadian government meddles in your life all the time. The fact that you don't know it clearly proves my point: The illusion freedom and independence you have in your life is proverbial... 12. Nope. The government tries to attract mainly inve$tment and certain tipes of ethnicities. Way too discriminatory, by the way. 13. Try to fill an immigration form online. It gives you choices, but you can choose only the "right" choices; if you fail to do so, the automatic response will tell you that your answer is incorrect. Tell me then, how is a choice given to you really a choice if you cannot choose it?? How is it that in order to be in the country legally you must first leave it?? How is it that you cannot leave the country as the country is getting your immigration permits and papers in order?? Tell me, how is it that in order for a foreign student to be able to enroll in a school or university program he/she has to have a student visa/permit, and in order to get that visa/permit he/she has to be accepted by that school or university?? I do however have to acknowledge and salute your interest in hearing about the contradictions... And, no, we have never met: Canadian laws would probably make this impossible. I'd like to meet you one day personally, though. Perhaps we can talk about countries, immigration and politics over a nice meal and a few drinks... Cheers mate!

We have no idea. Nobody does. It depends upon the number of cases and the number of deaths, and whether those are increasing, decreasing or plateauing.

To bad the top 3 cities are for millionaires only. I even know people that inherit the family home but can't afford the taxes, upkeep, and utilities.

Hi how are job opportunities for Indian Psychologists in Canada.. And which place would have more potential to move in for a psychologist
@immigroup5 жыл бұрын
Well you have to get your credentials "equivalated" to see what their value is in Canada. If you don't know that it's hard to know what kind of job opportunities you would have. However, all other things being equal, large cities will have more job openings. They will also have greater competition.

So inquire about emigrating there. Canada is a very big tent and unlike the US, most Candians don't care what color you are, or where you come from. As long as you obey the law, have a good character, are accepting of others who may not look like you, be kind and respectful to others and have a deep love of freedom and liberty and will speak up whenever that's threatened, you'll fit right in.

@@ДавидАмири-т6в Don't bother about visiting visa. Any nationality can apply for Canadian Permanent residence. I know a Russian lady who recently moved here. Google express entry.
