I love how the original highlights the band’s strengths when they come together and brings out more of the frustration and a cinematic intensity of the emotions of the story while the acapella version with strings really brings out the sheer desperation and pain of the story. Eddie’s isolated vocals paired with the vulnerable sorrowful somber tone of the violin gives me chills. Feels like it should be a movie trailer or something and really shows how Eddie is truly the heart of the band with his powerful voice, brilliant lyric writing, and ethereal violin playing. Just wow. Everything they do is just wow.
