This was originally two separate songs, with three verses each. Two verses were mangled into one and one verse totally omitted. Where does this vitriol come from? It is and remains a beautiful hymn, and this rendition is to the glory of God. Your accusatory reaction is unjust, not sound-minded. It is not in a spirit of love. Please examine your heart and mind, and strive to honor and obey God. We are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, with sincere respect and compassion. The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love.
