it's a bug, the problem was that he wasn't aware of that, but he did wait to see how Blizz would react to this card and his "particular mechanics" because he was once banned for something similar to this xd. That's why in the video he says that it's not an "exploit" but in the title he does mention it as such.

The guy has been playing the game since launch and regularly does interaction testing of various cards, knowing the ins and outs of how mechanics in the game work and are meant to work perfectly fine. Anyone with any idea how Spell Damage works on literally every other minion in the game should be able to see that this is obviously not intended and there is nothing to suggest that it would be. If there was an enchantment that gave a minion the Healing Totem effect then people wouldn't be like "HMMMM I sure wonder if it's an intended interaction that my board is being healed every single turn despite Prelate not being there".

If it isn't, and it's actually a bug, it means even the most basic play testing wasn't done, no matter how much you nitpick. Not to mention, not like toast is farming top legend with this. And wouldn't be his first time in the doghouse solely because blizzard is being overzealous.

Wasn't this bug already patched like a week ago or so? I remember after people were testing a bunch of the interactions (like HysteriA), there was a patch shortly after fixing a few things. If I recall, this specific bug was one of the fixes (as I tested the interaction the same day, and it no longer worked). Ideally, since Toast now shows this video and the bug is already fixed, it wouldn't exactly be promoting the glitch anymore either. Just proof that he used it.

Hello toast! im not sure if you've had this experience before but a fun thing to do try and get in the rumble is this easy turn two hero power kill. Step 1. Get warlock with Hir'eek's Hunger (when ever your hero takes damage on your turn, your enemy hero takes it instead) and fight High priest The'kal with Shirvallah's Vengance (when ever your hero takes damage deal 5 to the enemy hero) and behold, turn two life tap and you win the game. I hope you see it for yourself and maybe show it on a little bonus section of a clip one day! -btw love your video's by far my favorite hearthstone youtuber.

Most likely an error in the code in what is considered an "enchantment" since typically "enchantments" were attack and health buffs. Will probably have to code the card to ignore spell buffs while not in play.

I can clearly see the card in his hand still says deal 10 damage rather than the normal 8, but the minion with spell damage had just been shuffled into the deck so...what? What am I missing here? Like i get that the minion keeps the enchantment but that should just mean once played again it still has it like kingsbane keeps buffs for example, but it shouldn't affect anything while not in play right? Wut?

So I believe this interaction happens because, to make a minion that holds enchantments they need to store the enchantments somewhere, so they store it in the board state. So when the minion gets played again it will have it's abilities. Technically off the way they coded it, it always exists on the board. Mainly because hearthstone has no way of keeping track of their minions after it leaves the board in to the deck. So in other words, they took the cheap easy way of storing enchantments, vses recoding their game to recognize minions in the deck. But here is the game-breaking part, because the minion technically exists on the board at all times, persistent effects will "persist". Now what I am curious about, because the minion ID is saved, much like the cameleos bug that happened a while ago with voodoo doll, I wonder what game breaking stuff you could do. Like could you give your hero deathrattle? What happens if your Prelate gets returned via a "return a minion that died this turn to your hand", would it still have it's enchantments? And the real game-breaking question I have, can you have infinite spell power with kel-thuzad. For example does the minions he revive has spell power, do they get added to the board state?????? P.S. small indie company doesn't understand how to store values.

Stuff like this wouldn't be a problem if there was a hard limit on mechanic replication, prelate should only get 1 redeck not able to turn into an engine or get stacks of a single keyword, and some non-legendary cards should just get a "unique" keyword.

No, dude, it's a card TEXT not an enchantment. Enchantment is an addition, that grants you effects in addition to the original text. It doesn't work that way. It may as well be a feature, actually.
