While enrolled at Penn State he got charged with assault-related offenses due to some type of altercation between some students which led to him being incarcerated for a year. That's when he actually started to seriously get into rapping, then when he got paroled he took some poly-sci classes which really sparked his aggressive political views. I'm glad that it all happened, because it would suck if he never made music.
