Yeah, this one was a surprise with how wholesome it was. It's like Bofuri, if that one kept it's chill throughout, rather than Maple starting to try to be the best, rather than just stumbling into it. Here, our protagonist just wants to have fun, and even when she's goaded into something, it's never a long term thing, just single goals.

That was pretty much the joke they were pushing just as calling the intelligent slime, Intelli, the magic slime, Magi, and the fighter slime Fighty. Even outside this specific plot arc, the other plot arcs was also about missing the obvious such as climbing the tree "dungeon" to reach the apothecary only to find that the cure for the age reduction mushroom was just the mandrake medicine she had helped bring to market and finding out they could've just rode a wyvern up to the top of the tree. It was all about what should've been obvious and trivial and inadvertently making a big deal of it.

As generic as the setting as premise is the wholesome nature and moral of the show elevates it. If anything it uses it's genericness to it's advantage. It's like Skyrim which is generic but fun if you treat it more as fantasy life simulator than epic RPG if you take out the main quest and just chill in the game. It dumps the whole Isekai/in a video game thing for medieval slice of life and boy does it do that well! The characters are all fantastic as well and the comedy is on point! 8/10

I love the anime feels very heart warming and wholesome. Feel like the creators have some kind of sister complex. I can't tell if it's a little sister or a big sister complex. Depending on the perception, It seems like most of the Characters interacting with the main character seem to have a Need older sister thing. But if you look at it from the main character's point of view She so easily takes the role of being the nurturing, protective bad a** older sister.
