Earlier I used to do japa on namo shiva lakhs of times.I want to ask is it beneficial to continue . earlier I thought that this is meditation now I came to know at the age of 42 that this is only repetition and meditation is to be blank. Or looking at breath.

It's very clear meditation must be blank means thinking nothing means no thoughts just observing consciousness(one must not seek nothing )...simply observing our inner consciousness in a high concentration closing eyes in between eye brows....as revealed by Gitakrishna.....Shree Krushna in geeta ...correlation...😊

The purpose of any Lifetime. You are not the body and mind you are Eternal Spirit trapped in the body, You have forgotten over many incarnations. The Matrix is your own bio computer brain(Virtual Reality) machine that keeps You in the illusion of being a physical Being in a physical world via the nervous system and the five senses. Meditation is putting the body and mind to sleep but staying Awake and Alert inside so you can re EXPERIENCE your Self as Eternal Spirit again,If you remain in this state after Meditation its called Nirvana, Samadhi, The Tao, Self Realization Yogananda, Born again Jesus, Satori, Heaven within Luke 17 21, Garden of Eden, Obtaining the Golden Fleece Greek mythology, Leaving the Body but not dying,Ramana Maharshi" the Ribhu Gita" Vedanta, etc etc all the same. Living "IN " the body, is different than living "AS" the body. The first is Heaven on Earth. 😇 The second is Hell on Earth. 😠 THAT IS THE TRUTH. Red pill or Blue pill. 😕
